The final will be played in Munich, Germany at the Allianz Arena, fittingly the home ground of one of the final competitors for the competition. The event which will take place on the 19th of May, on a Saturday night will be fought between German giants Bayern Munich against English king slayers Chelsea FC. Bayern Munich had been an impressive team from the start, with a seemingly easy knock out stage until they reached the semi-finals against the feared Real Madrid. A valiant effort went into the two legs of the semi-finals to see Bayern Munich clinch it in the 2nd leg via a penalty shootout, much to the struggle of Real Madrid. Despite the huge support for the Spanish royalty, Bayern’s win was well deserved to help them to their home dream final.
On the other end of the respective table was Chelsea FC who also had a similar test until the semi-final, tough comparatively harder as they had to face Napoli and Benfica, two very strong European clubs playing top quality football. The real challenge came against former champions FC Barcelona, known worldwide for their world class football and breaking the record books in the past decade.
