Kelly Clarkson Postpones Las Vegas Residency Until 2021

7th May 2020 | Category: Concerts,Las Vegas

Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is delaying her debut Las Vegas residency to 2021 due to concerns about the coronavirus.

Clarkson’s new show, “Invincible,” was originally scheduled to begin on April 1st, 2020 at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood, with dates planned from July through September.

“We’ve decided to postpone my Vegas residency, Invincible, until 2021,” the singer stated.

“I want everyone to be safe, healthy, & ready to party next year! For the latest info & to receive presale access when new dates are announced, sign up for my mailing list at http://kellyclarkson.com”

In a video she shared on her Twitter account, Clarkson said there was “too much uncertainty going on right now.”

“We want to make sure everybody can have a good time when you come see me in Vegas — no one’s worrying about anything,” the recording artist added.

Current ticket holders can get a refund at the point of purchase, according to Clarkson. Also, they will have special presale access for the new dates.

In March, the original American Idol winner has also shut down production on her daytime TV talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, though she’s since continued producing the new episodes in a from-home format.

On her show, on April 16th, Clarkson premiered a motivational new song “I Dare You”.

She recorded alternate versions of the ballad in five different languages, which feature her singing alongside a different international artist, including Faouzia (Arabic), Zaz (French), Maya Buskila (Hebrew), Blas Cantó (Spanish) and Glasperlenspiel (German).

On Monday night (May 4), Clarkson and her fellow The Voice judges were back on TV for the show’s first almost-live-from-home round. The hit NBC show is currently being broadcast from contestants’ and judges’ homes.

Keith Urban Scheduled to Reopen the Colosseum

16th July 2019 | Category: Las Vegas

Caesars Palace in Las Vegas announced that Grammy-winning country star Keith Urban will perform at The Colosseum, their newly remodelled 4,300 seat theatre.

The New Zealand-born artist will open the renovated venue with performances on September 6th and 7th, as a part of his Graffiti U Tour.

“Caesars Entertainment could not be more excited to celebrate the re-launch of The Colosseum at Caesars Palace by welcoming Keith Urban to officially unveil many new and state-of-the-art enhancements that we have made to our award-winning venue,” said Jason Gastwirth, president of entertainment of Caesars.

Urban, a four-time Grammy award winner, is exactly the type of artist The Colosseum wanted to book, thanks to his mass cross-genre appeal and pop-cultural recognition. The upgraded general admission area within the theatre will give the fans a chance for a more close-up experience than anywhere else in his Graffiti U arena performances.

“We knew we had to reopen a venue as iconic as The Colosseum in a big way. Keith Urban was a perfect choice,” said Amanda Moore, VP marketing for Live Nation Las Vegas. “Fans will have the opportunity to see one of the biggest names in music perform in an intimate setting for two nights only – an experience they can’t find anywhere else in the world.”

Tickets for Keith Urban Graffiti U go on sale July 19th, and you will be able to get them through this link.

The improved Colosseum will soon announce more engagements and residencies soon.

So far, aside from Keith Urban performances, the announced shows also include two residencies from Mariah Carey, three shows from Madonna on her Madame X Tour and Sting’s Spring/Summer 2020 residency.

Lady Gaga’s Vegas Residency Extended Through Spring 2020

25th June 2019 | Category: Las Vegas

Ever since Lady Gaga tweeted that she was “pregnant with #LG6”, her next highly anticipated album, every fan is eagerly waiting for her to announce when the album will be released.

But, according to her latest announcement, that could be a while, since all her energy is currently put towards her two-part Vegas residency and the extension of it.

Lady Gaga fans will not have to rush to Vegas to catch her performance. In a post she uploaded to her Instagram, the singer revealed that her hit Las Vegas residency would be extended and that it would last through December 2020 and into spring 2020.

The residency was launched last fall and it consists of two shows: the hits-heavy “Lady Gaga Engima” and a stripped-down set of her own music and Great American Songbook highlights “Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano”.  Now, two “Enigma” shows have been added for December, and a “Jazz & Piano” New Year’s Eve performance has also been announced. The original end dates for both these shows were November 8 and November 9, respectively.

However, “A Star is Born” singer will also come back after a short break in spring with five more “Enigma” performances scheduled for April and May, and four more “Jazz & Piano” gigs in May.

This news will certainly be well received by the fans that have not been able to plan a trip to Vegas and enjoy the shows that have taken the city by storm.

As of Friday, 28th June the tickets will officially go on sale, so do not miss your chance and get them on time.

Celine Dion Wraps Up her Las Vegas Residency with a Bang

18th June 2019 | Category: Las Vegas

Celine Dion has wrapped up her Las Vegas Run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace last weekend with record-breaking $681 million in ticket sales.

She’ll catch a breath or two before she embarks on her world tour on 18 September. Don’t miss her first North American run since 2009’s Taking Chances World Tour. Visit our page here and purchase your tickets in time.

When the news first broke out about her Las Vegas residency, people thought they were crazy. John Meglen and Celine’s husband, Rene Angeli thought big and it was definitely worth it. Now, 16 years and 1,141 performances later, Celine’s two residencies combined to sell 4,555,752 tickets according to Billboard Boxscore. A New Day residency between 2003 and 2007 and Celine residency between 2011 and 2019 became the two highest-grossing and best-selling Las Vegas residencies of all time. The first residency consisted of 714 shows while the second had a more flexible schedule of 427 performances during which Dion toured internationally.

The pop singer first made her mark on the Billboard charts in the 1990s with three No.1 Billboard 200 albums and four No. 1 Hot 100 singles. Her album Falling into You earned her a Grammy and after she went to Sin City she became one of the most successful and lucrative live acts in the industry. Reports say she is one of the only eight artists to cross the billion mark in the history of Billboard Boxscore.

The famed singer will keep herself busy by releasing new music later in the year and preparing for the tour.

Her Courage Tour will kick off on 18 September in Quebec City in support of her upcoming twelfth album Courage due for release in November. She will hit more than 50 cities including Miami, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles. Her Saturday’s finale featured the debut of her new song “Flying On My Own” and judging by the first glimpse of it, we can freely say the album is going to be a smash hit.  Celine’s husband Rene died in 2016 after a battle with throat cancer after 22 years in marriage.  Celine is paying tribute to her late husband with the new album and says she feels more “centered, balanced and spiritually connected” these days and even though the sound and music changed a bit on the Courage album she is still the same.

Tickets for the tour are already in sale, grab yours in time and get ready for the ride of your life.
