Bette Midler, an actress and singer, as well as one of America’s best loved Comediennes, is known far and wide as the “Divine Miss M”, and not without good reason.

Her comedic talents are legendary and her concert show, live now in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, along with Cher and Elton John is certainly something something worth seeing.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton – Who’s Coming Out on Top

19th March 2009 | Category: Las Vegas,Sports | Tags: ,

Live from Las Vegas, under the tutelage of Floyd Mayweather Sr, who trains Hatton in Manchester, Hatton says he’s progressed dramatically, and Sporting Life of the UK says that Hatton boasts that Manny is in for a real shock the night of the fight. Pacquiao says he’s a whole different fighter than he was, “faster, stronger and more tactical.”

The Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, which is currently hosting the training of Pacquiao is silent, apparently Manny isn’t ready to boast on his skills yet, but according to those in the know, it’s just his second week for taking part in training and he’s got some fantastic form, and apparently knocked down his sparring partner, Art Hovhannesyan in the second round of play, causing an upper eyelid cut in the fourth round on Wednesday.

His strength and conditioning trainer, Alex Ariza said to ABS-CBNm, that he is going to shock everybody at how strong he is at 140 pounds.”

If we run over and ask Pacquiao, however, he’s pretty well convinced that his speed is whats going to gain him the victory in the head to head with Hatton but Pacquiao does add, humbly we think, that there’s a great deal more he needs to do before he thinks hes in tip top shape?

And what do YOU think? We personally think its well worth your time to get your tickets early for the Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton bout in Vegas. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Doobie Brothers in Las Vegas

12th January 2009 | Category: Concerts,Las Vegas | Tags:

Betcha most of you could quote the words to a few of these songs–China Grove–Long Train Runnin–Listen To The Music.

Known for their bluesy style with a rock beat and their incredible vocal harmonies, we’re talking of course about one of the biggest bands of our generation, one that changed the course of rock forever.

The Doobie Brothers began performing in 1970 all over southern California, and believe it or not, were billed as PUD.. wow that’s news to me.

The name of the band came from a housemate who saw the fondness some of the band members had for a certain illicit cigarette, which at the time was termed a “doobie” and he is the one credited with coining their new name.

At that point, the Doobie Brothers were the premiere band for metal heads, motorcycle gang and their look reflected it, with leather jackets and motorcycles part of their image.

Just the second album the band put out spawned some mega hits, including some that went on to become Doobie Brothers cult, and rock classics–Jesus is Just Alright and Listen to the Music.

No one who ever heard the Doobie Brothers wasn’t induced to sing along with the tunes and be forever hooked on the bands style.

That style is coming to Vegas this year for Valentines day. Since many of Doobie Brothers recent concerts have been standing room only, or no tickets left over, its probably in your best interests to grab your tickets now while you can.

Doobie Brothers, appearing in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater, February 13 and 14, 2009. Grab your tickets now, because they aren’t going to last long.

Ultimate Fighting Championship 94

If you’re a fan of the fights, then these are the fights for you and Las Vegas is the place to be in mid January.

Top contenders are vying for bragging rights and a whole lot more as they rock the arena in the city that never sleeps.

MGM Grand Garden Arena, Nevada will be the scene of a rematch the likes of which the fight fans have waited a long time to see. Three years to be precise, since the last bout, when in March of 2006, the top welterweights around fought each other for the number one position.

Georges St-Pierre and BJ Penn dueled and St-Pierre earned what was called a razors edge split decision, then going on to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight title. Penn, who dropped to the lightweight division of the competition, went on to win the 155-pound title.

Well they are at it again and this time, there’s a lot more at stake than just the bragging rights.

From the looks of things, BJ Penn will become the first fighter in history to have two UFC championships at the same time, but you know, looks can be deceiving.

Be there when BJ Penn faces down Georges St-Pierre for the UFC® welterweight championship in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, ST-PIERRE VS. PENN 2, live at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

You don’t want to miss this one…
