What’s up for New Years in your world?

21st December 2008 | Category: Concerts,Las Vegas,Theater | Tags: ,

Most of us will likely do the same thing we did last year…The party with friends or family and the buffet at midnight, which is of course fun,and exciting, but in reality, not so different from what we did last year and the year before last.

What if we could do something completely different.
You can register my vote for rocking with Fergie in Las Vegas for New Years Eve.

Fergie is appearing live at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Vegas for New Years Eve, and what could offer a more interesting way to spend the night than that.

Check out Fergie on New Years Eve, spend the night dancing and partying with the stars and when the night is over you’ve got no where to drive to, nothing to do but retire safely to a room that wraps you in luxury for the night and spoils you til the next day.

When you’ve had your rest and are feeling ready to play again, head downstairs the next day and spend New Years Day with the Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom of the Opera, also taking place at the Venetian, beginning January 1 2009 at the Venetian in Vegas, is among the best and most long running of shows. The plot line features a disfigured musical genius, who has hidden himself away from the world in an Opera Housein Paris, and sets out to terrorize the participants of the Opera company playing there, all for the benefit of a young woman that he desperately loves.

Check out the official Phantom of the Opera site here.

The Phantom of the Opera, a timeless classic, is something everyone should see once, and in combination with tickets to see Fergie the night before, what more could you ask for for a mid winter break that will revitalize you.

Guaranteed to get you out of the winter rut, these aren’t shows that won’t sell out quickly,so if you want to get out of the snow and step into a little heat, and a whole lot of excitement, check out Vegas for New Years.

Penn and Teller

There is probably no one alive who hasn’t heard of, or seen the magic of Penn and Teller.

Throughout the 80’s and beyond they’ve wowed us with their talent and skill, as well as their attitude.

Penn and Teller began their performing life as part of a trio, billed as Asparagus Valley Cultural Society Playing in San Francisco.

The act at that time was a bit more silly, a bit less edgy than it is today, but still a hit by all standards.

By the mid 80’s Penn and Teller were getting far better than average reviews for an Off Broadway show, and won prestigious awards such as the Emmy for a special on PBS.

Television was next for them, of course, in the natural progression of things, and they made their way across the Late Night with Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Jay Leno’s Tonight Show circuit, as well as numerous other television appearances.

The duo is well known for the edginess of their acts, which often feature gory type tricks that are accomplished in a humorous way, as well as their exposure of frauds, interesting and amusing pranks and their Showtime Network television show, entitled Bullshit.

Penn and Teller have evolved from their quirky little show, into something far more interesting and well worth taking in.

Appearing at the Rio in Vegas just three days after Christmas, Penn and Teller will amaze you.

Elton John, with his flamboyant style, outrageous clothing and outstanding music are part of what made the seventies, but he didn’t stop there.

More than fifty of his songs have hit the top forty, including seven albums in a row, and Sir Elton John is ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the top 100 artists of all time, hitting number 49.

And yes, its true. He will be performing along with Billy Joel, the Piano Man, for several shows.

Get your tickets to see Elton John in Las Vegas, and check out his shows with Bily Joel, because if you don’t get these tickets now, we guarantee, you’re probably not going to get them.

Billy Joel 2009 Tour

All those rumors you’ve been hearing are true, in point of fact. Billy Joel, billed as the Piano Man, has a new tour, and it will entail performances with Sir Elton John.

The early parts of February will see him performing in Las Vegas. Can you think of anything nicer to give to someone you care about than a very special trip to Las Vegas, where Billy Joel will be appearing at the MGM Grand for Valentines day.

Selling more than 150 million recordings world wide, Billy Joel, aka the Piano Man, has rocked us all since the seventies, but his magic didn’t stop at that point. With top ten hits in the seventies, the eighties and the nineties, Billy Joel has proven that he’s got star power and more.

Billy Joel effectively “retired” from recording in 1993 but continued to tour (sometimes in the company of Elton John). Last year, in 2007 he returned to recording with a single called “All My Life,” followed by a world tour, and in September 2008 during an interview with GQ magazine, Elton John was quoted as saying : “I’m going on the road again with Billy Joel again next year,” confirming the rumor that the legends would reunite for a tour in 2009.

Now these are tickets you can’t live without!
