If you were to remove the implied odds from the line this would have suggested that the bookmakers saw the Denver Broncos with a 13.7 percent chance of winning by more than eleven points.
And even after these type of odds that is just what the Denver Broncos pulled off. It definitely was not the prettiest Super Bowl that was ever seen, but it did include some brilliant performances from the league’s two best defenses. Even if grouping them together just may sell the Denver Broncos short. Advance metrics suggest that the Denver Broncos were the best defense team in football by a very comfortable margin.
