2 Chainz releases 2013 performance dates including Coachella
2 Chainz is thinking about dropping his sophomore album sometime during the summer season of 2013, and explains that he already has 3 tracks recorded for the project.
Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz made quite a name for himself on the mainstream rap scene during 2012 with the release of his much buzzed about album‘Based On A T.R.U. Story.’ It looks like the rapper has big plans for 2013 as well, mentioning that he is looking to have his album complete by April of next year, and that he already has 3 songs recorded for the sophomore effort.
“I’m trying to turn in my album by April of next year,” he told MTV. “It won’t come out then but I’m at least trying to turn it in and set up for more tours because we enjoy doing live shows, so be looking out for more of that from the crew.”
2 Chainz started his B.O.A.T.S. web series, and he announced that the next release will be for “I’m Different” to keep promotion going for both the album and the tour.
However, 2 Chainz still released some tour dates and tickets for his February performances. He will be performing in Detroit on Feb. 20, NY on Feb 23 and LA on the Feb 28. He will also have some performances on Coachella and tickets for Coachella are also available.
“I’m shooting ‘I’m Different’ real soon,” he said. “I wrote the treatment for that and I’m really excited to continue pushing the envelope and giving the fans something to see, some excitement again, really building that curiosity up with hip-hop again — I’m happy to be one of the frontrunners for that campaign.”
