American Indie Band The Shins Announce 12 Date Spring Tour
American Indie Rock Band The Shins are back on tour this spring and already their concert tickets are selling fast. Their ‘Port of Morrow’ tour last year was a huge success and a further 12 dates for this coming May were announced a couple of days ago and you can buy your Shins concert tickets now.
The tour will see the band play a total of 12 gigs, with the first of the 12 starting on Friday 12th May at the Bottle Rock Festival in Napa, California. The next day they will be performing in Stateline, Nevada, a performance that can be seen at the Montbleu Resort, Casino and Spa.
The band will be staying on the West Coast of America for their next two performances being held in Idaho and Utah. Sunday 12th May will see them play at the Knitting Factory in Boise, Idaho and the next day they will drop down into Utah where they will be playing in Park City at Park City Live.
A three day break will see the band recharge their batteries then head East for dates in Alabama, Tennessee and Illinois. They will then set off for Canada where they will be playing in Ontario and Quebec. On Wednesday 22nd May they will be playing at the Sound Academy in Toronto, Ontario and the next day they will be playing at the Metropolis in Montreal, Quebec.
The Shins will then return to America for the tour finale. The three remaining dates commence with a performance on Saturday 25th May at the Boston City Hall Plaza in Boston, Massachusetts before they head South to Virginia to play at The National in Richmond on Monday 27th May. The last gig will see them playing at The Norva in Norfolk on Tuesday 28th May.
The Shins have come to prominence of late and only last year their song ‘No Way Down’ appeared in the film ‘The Amazing Spider Man’, a film that featured Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans.
