Atoms For Peace Release Series Of 2013 Tour Dates
Atoms for Peace may have only been formed in 2009, but already they have a dedicated following and this summer will be performing a series of tour dates in Europe, America and Japan and you can get your Atoms for Peace concert tickets now.
The tour gets under way at 8pm in Paris, France on the 6th July at The Zenith Arena, before heading inland to play gigs in Belgium, Holland and Germany. The band will then head East to play in Slovakia and Serbia. They will be playing in Slovakia at the Bazant Pohoda Festival on the 12th July and then the Exit Festival in Serbia on the 13th July. A further four dates will be performed in Europe, with two in Italy, one in Malta and a return to Germany to play at the Melt Festival on the 21st July, before heading across the Channel to play a series of dates in London.
The London leg of the tour will see the band playing three consecutive nights at the legendary arts venue of The Roundhouse, starting on Wednesday 24th July and ending on Friday 26th July.
Atoms for Peace have recently released their first ever album entitled ‘Amok’, an album that landed straight in at number two on the Billboard 200 Chart. The band is made up of Thom Yorke from Radiohead and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. The Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s bassist Flea is also part of the group, as is Joey Waronker from Beck and REM. The final member of the band is the Brazilian instrumentalist and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
Once they have finished in the London the band will take a short break before performing a number of dates In America. The American leg of their tour will start on the 24th September in Philadelphia at the Liacouras Center, with dates in Brooklyn, Fairfax, Chicago, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara to follow.
