Bayou Country Superfest

The LSU Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is going to be going country this Memorial Day weekend. Yes, the Bayou Country Superfest is lining up the talent as well as selling tickets to the May 29th and 30th music fest.

The Superfest’s director Quint Davis known more for his talent seen as director and producer of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell had the dream of staging a country music festival in Louisiana for many years. This effort on Davis’s part was centered on developing events for his Festival Productions Inc. The effort became even stronger with the owners of Essence Music Festival changed FPI-NO with a different producer after the 2007 Essence.

Davis did the same as he did with Jazz Fest by way of FPI-NO and collaborated with AEG Live based in Los Angeles to produce Bayou Country Superfest.

The talent headlining the Superfest includes Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Kellie Pickler, Jason Aldean, David Nail, Jake Owen, Gloriana, and Justin Moore.

Memorial Day weekend is often a lull when it comes to visitors to the Baton Rouge area; the Superfest will bring people to Baton Rouge and if all is predicted correctly boost tourism during this slow time. The amount of money this event is expected to generate is beyond $20 million.

The country stars are not the only attractions set for the Bayou Country Superfest as there will also be a Fan Fest and a Tailgate party planned for the parking lots offering guests food, entertainment, and of course music.

Tickets are on sale now for the Bayou Country Superfest. The event is a reserved seating event so fans have been encouraged to buy their tickets early in order to get the best seats. There are a limited number of two-day ticket packages.
