Drake The Boy Meets World Tour Extended
On Wednesday morning, at 6.45am, the self-proclaimed God – Drake – tweeted that he’ll be kicking the road again in November.
The extension of his “The Boy Meets World Tour” is scheduled for a six-date tour in Australia and New Zealand. The Canadian rapper will roll off in Auckland’s Arena on November 3, before running through Sydney for two shows and one in Brisbane. He will close things out on two more performances in Melbourne on November 18 and 20.
“The Boy Meets World Tour” began on January 28, 2017 in Amsterdam and spread through concerts in London, Manchester, Oslo, Berlin, Paris and other European cities before wrapping up at the same place it started on March, 29.
The setlist for the tour shows consisted of 40 songs including his most awarded songs “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance”. At the beginning of the tour Drake had minor difficulties dealing with production issues but he managed to deliver a successful tour. The opening act for the whole tour was the Canadian duo named Dvsn along with Young Thug for the UK and Ireland concerts and special acts by Nicki Minaj, Giggs, Popcaan, Travis Scott, Skepta and The Weeknd. It is not yet confirmed whether Dvsn will join him for this run but Drake also popped up 2 Chainz and Jorja Smith as surprise guests.
The tour is in support of his 2016 album “Views” and 2017 multi-genre album he described as a playlist, “More Life”. “Views” broke several chart records. This fourth album of the famous rapper sat atop the Billboard 200 for ten non-consecutive weeks becoming the first album by a male solo artist to do so in over ten years. He was No 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks, achieved quadruple platinum status in the U.S. and won two Grammies.
Besides being an actor, a singer and a producer, Drake developed his own record label OVO, his own clothing line and his own program on Beats 1 Radio. He is a man of many talents and is definitely worth watching.
