Eagles Summer Tour Goes Country

31st March 2010 | Category: Concerts

Everyone has been sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear the venues and dates expanding the Eagles tour; however, no one was prepared for the announcement that the Eagles special guests for their summer concerts will be the Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban.

The Eagles will be touring North American venues for the summer and bringing along hot country music idols. At this time, only eight dates have been announced. The first concert will be at the Rogers Centre in Toronto Canada and the last concert will in St. Louis Missouri on June 24 at the Busch Stadium.

Keith Urban will not be performing will be absent for some of the early show including the ones mentioned above as well as the June 22 in Winnipeg, MB at the Canada Inns Stadium. The Dixie Chicks will be present at all concerts.

The tickets went on sale on March 29 for all 8 concerts. The summer tour is taking up where the spring tour ends on the West coast. The tour dates in April and May are the last leg of the Eden tour, which began in 2008.

This tour of course is another one keeping the Eagles on the road; however, this is the first tour for the Dixie Chicks in close to four years.

Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks made a derogatory statement about President Bush in 2003 during a concert in London. The trio received bad publicity from United States fans and was blacklisted by some radio stations in the southern United States. Their 2006 Accidents and Accusations Tour saw many cancellations and then fell out of sight only performing once in awhile with the Eagles.

A few of the stops along the way include Rutherford New Jersey, Boston Massachusetts, and Washington DC, along with the dates mentioned above.
