Ed Sheeran North American Tour Expanded
Ed Sheeran was set to play 48 dates on his North American tour this summer, starting on 29 June in Kansas City until 7 October in Nashville but due to the overwhelming demand for the tickets and the overall great interest, 11 more dates have been added.
His Europe ongoing tour has been a great success and he hopes to repeat it in the North American tour during summer. The Asia tour is set to start at the end of October 2017 while the Australian tour is starting in March 2018. Tickets for all his shows can be purchased here.
Ed chose to sing in arenas although he likes more intimate venues.
“It’s all about the crowd and whether the crowd gets onboard with it,” he explained. “If someone connects with you, it doesn’t matter how far away you are, if you can get them connected with a song.”
An English Grammy Award singer, guitarist and songwriter from Halifax, has just released his third album Divide which broke 1 billion YouTube views mark just two days after its release. The early tracking estimates the album will sell between 400,000 and 450,000 copies and ensure a No.1 debut. The album already broke Spotify records receiving 56,727,861 streams in its first 24 hours. The first two singles from the album were released in January 2017, Shape of You and Castle on the Hill, and broke records in the number of countries. Sheeran became the first artist to have two songs debut in the US Top 10 in the same week.
Ed Sheeran started his music career in 2004 but it wasn’t until the release of his debut album “Plus” in 2011 that he started to gain international attention.
The album hit No.1 in the UK Albums Chart and he won Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo and British Breakthrough Act. After releasing the duet with Taylor Swift Everything Has Changed and his second album “Multiply” in 2014, he hit the top spot on both sides of the Atlantic. Sheeran’s second album single Thinking Out Loud earned him two Grammies in 2016: Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
