The 11-time Grammy-winning, 25 million-record-selling rock legends have just announced additional dates of their already spread-out tour. The North American leg that will take place in spring and summer of 2018 will kick off on April 18 with a show in Austin, Texas and end in Chicago on July 29. Some of the impressive venues they will perform at include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Boston’s Fenway Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field.
Foo Fighters are also set to return to rock stadiums in Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of January 2018 and also in the UK in June. They will be joined by special guest Weezer on their shows in January and February, plus a local opener from each city on the tour. You are just one click away from buying tickets for your favorite rock band.
The band exists for more than 20 years and has won 4 Grammy Awards for the Best Rock Album. This tour is in support of their ninth studio album Concrete & Gold released on September 15. It is their second album to reach No.1 in the U.S.
The frontman Dave Grohl described it as Motorhead’s version of Sgt. Pepper. Their first single from this album “Run” topped the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. “The Line” and “The Sky is a Neighborhood” were release in September in promotion of the album and the tour. Two weeks ago, they released “Soldier”, a song recorded during Concrete & Gold sessions to benefit Planned Parenthood. Justin Timberlake, Shawn Stockman of Boys II Men featured on the vocals and Paul McCartney on drums on this album.
At the revived Cal Jam festival in October, they covered the Beatles, the band that inspires and influences them together with the Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. This year’s lineup featured Liam Gallagher, Japandroids, Rick Astley and Queens of the Stone Age. Only a month after the festival’s successful inaugural edition, Foo Fighters announced the festival will return to Glen Helen Regional Park & Festival Grounds in October, 2018.
