George Strait & Reba McEntire Twang Tour

All country fans know the names George Strait and Reba McEntire and the good news is they are touring together so you can enjoy both of these famous country singers at the same time.

George and Reba are on their US arena tour with George backing his new studio set that was recently released, Twang.

The first concert was in Baltimore on January 22, but don’t worry there are plenty of dates left as they will be stopping in eighteen cities across the nation. The last show will be in Des Moines, Iowa on April 10.

Strait’s 26th studio album, Twang, was released in August and quickly took the #1 spot on The Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart. This album follows George’s platinum selling Troubadour, which earned the Best Country Album Grammy Award. Strait was nominated for the Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year has the record for the most #1 country singles of any artist in history. Strait has 57 at this time that have hit #1.

The Academy of Country Music honored Strait as its Artist of the Decade during an all-star concert in Las Vegas in April of 2009. Strait stated, “It’s almost like this was a farewell deal, but I ain’t ready to go yet.”

Reba can tout her own horn as well with her new studio album, Keep On Loving You released in August. This was Reba’s first solo set to hit #1 on the Billboard 200.

Reba received the Favorite Female Country award at the American Music Awards. Reba holds the title of the Female Country Artist with the most wins in the award ceremony’s 37-year history, with 15 other trophies.

Last month, the songstress received an American Music Award nod for Favorite Female Country Artist, marking her 23rd career nomination. With 15 trophies already at home, the songstress holds the title of the Female Country Artist with the most wins in the award ceremony’s 37-year history.
