Guns N’ Roses Announce Rescheduled North American Tour Dates for 2021
After postponing all 2020 dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guns N’ Roses have announced their plan to continue their tour next year.
Beginning with a date at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 10, their jaunt will see them play in stadiums across the United States and Canada — just like they were supposed to do this year. The tour will conclude at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium (which houses LAFC) on October 19.
The band that not every performance was able to be rescheduled.
“Unfortunately a select few will need to be canceled due to routing and venue availability issues that developed during the postponement process,” the band explained. “We thank everyone for their patience during this difficult time and look forward to performing for you all next year.”
The rock legends have apparently stayed busy in quarantine. Guitarist Slash said in a recent interview that the band has been working on new music in lockdown.
“I’ve been jamming with Duff [McKagan, bassist] and I’ve been jamming with Axl [Rose, frontman] and I’ve been doing stuff like that, so we’ve been getting some work done that way. But I haven’t been doing much else.”
He also admitted that it’s “frustrating” not being able to play shows after their tour was canceled this year as a result of the pandemic.
“We would be on the road right now,” he said. “The whole [Gun N’ Roses] tour from March all the way through September is obviously canceled until next year, and even then we don’t even know for sure what’s gonna happen next year. So that was frustrating.”
