Haim Share New Song ‘Gasoline’
Haim have revealed yet another track from their upcoming album, ‘Women in Music Pt. III’, which will be out next week.
The album was initially set for release on April 24, 2020 but was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and “the changing nature of travel policies and quarantines across the world.” The album’s release was later moved to June 26.
“We can’t wait to reschedule everything we had in mind for you all, and we can’t wait to see all of you on the road when it’s 100 percent safe to do so,” the band stated at the time.
“In the meantime, we are gonna be dropping some new tunes.” And they’ve stuck to this promise.
Recently, on Haim’s official Instagram, they’ve posted a version of the new song titled “Gasoline”, which was performed at home.
“miss playing for you guys. here’s a new song ‘gasoline’,” the caption for the clip read.
So far, they’ve released “Don’t Wanna,” “I Know Alone” “Summer Girl,” “Hallelujah” and “The Steps” from the album.
They’ve found creative ways to keep connected to dedicated HAIM fans during these times – by teaching virtual dance classes.
“I think doing stuff like that has actually been really nice,” Este Haim said.
“It’s also been really fun to come up with different ways, and different things to do during quarantine too. Like, doing live sessions, or doing a guitar tutorial. That’s our blueprint, is just trying to stay creative also. But we’re just excited for people to hear the record.”
Before isolating themselves in their homes because of the global pandemic, Haim sisters were nearly halfway through a run of intimate gigs in delis across America when they’ve postponed the tour.
However, when everything goes to normal we expect some good shows from them. And you will be able to find tickets for them at this link.
