The Janet Jackson “Unbreakable World Tour” was the seventh concert tour in support of her 2015 studio album by the same name. “Unbreakable” debuted at No1 on the Billboard, becoming her seventh album to top the chart in US. In addition to Live Nation and Rhythm Nation, her own record label, the tour was also sponsored by Jam Productions, Nederlander Concerts, Another Planet Entertainment, Bamp and Tommy Meherey. Multiple legs were planned for the North America, Asia and Europe but last April, the 50-year-old singer had to postpone the tour due to her pregnancy.
“My husband and I are planning our family. I’m gonna have to delay the tour. Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”
“I can’t wait for us to get started again,” she added.
Jackson married Al Mana, a billionaire businessman from Qatar in 2012. Her first single following a seven-year-hiatus titled “No Sleep” was inspired by Al Mana, the couple reportedly split earlier this year. Now, the pop superstar who gave birth to her first child in January, announced that she is gearing up to resume the tour in September, renamed as State of the World Tour. Mom Janet is apparently ready to hit the road.
With a simple tweet, Jackson announced, “Hey u guys. I’m so excited for the State of the World Tour. We’re in rehearsal mode. See u guys in 1 month!”
The 55-date-tour is scheduled to start on September 7, 2017 with a concert in Lafayette, Louisiana and is set to conclude on December 17, 2017 in Atlanta.
The original set list includes the mammoth 32 songs. Every single best song she recorded and a few new ones to give the fans the idea of what they can except from her upcoming record can be found on the list. Songs are arranged by “persona and tempo” according to New York Times in funk, upbeat pop, R8B, dance-club beats and rock blocks. Janet gives a stunning performance and is ready for the world again, so don’t miss out.
