Jay Z to Hit the 4:44 Tour in Fall
Jay Z seems to be quite busy this summer.
He is turning up the heat with several headlining festival gigs such as The Meadows Festival, Austin City Limits and Made in America Festival as well as his highly anticipated album 4:44 that dropped exclusively on Tidal and Spring on June 30.
His 13th album, 4:44, reached platinum status within one week and cemented his place at the top of the charts. Since the release of the album and accompanied videos “The story of O.J.”, “4:44” and “Footnotes for the story of O.J.” which highlighted a black man’s plight in America, Jay Z dominated the industry with this masterful project.
A massive North American Tour will follow up the release of his new album and his 31-date concert schedule kicks off on October 27 at California’s Honda Center making its way through all major cities including Las Vegas, Atlanta, Dallas, Toronto, Miami, Houston, Chicago and Washington DC. The tour is set to end on December 21 at Los Angeles’ Forum venue. Tickets for all venues can be purchased here.
The tour was initially planned for this summer but was rescheduled because of the kids since Jay Z’s wife, pop singer Beyoncé, gave birth to twins, a boy Sir Carter and a girl Rumi , just last month.
This rap mogul with net worth $810 million estimated by Forbes, recently signed a 10-year touring deal with Live Nation, an American global entertainment company. The deal was signed in May and reportedly is worth $200 million. Live Nation will produce and promote his 4:44 tour which will be his first tour in three years. His previous tours were joint ventures including 2011’s Watch the Throne Tour with Kanye West, 2013’s Legends of the Summer Tour with Justin Timberlake and 2014’s On the Rum Tour with Beyoncé. For now it’s not familiar whether he’d team up with a special guest or ride it out solo.
Tickets for his upcoming tour can be purchased here.
