Kenny Chesney on the Road This Summer
Since Kenny Chesney hadn’t been much on the road in 2017, he decided to change that this year with his Trip Around the Sun stadium tour that kicked off on 21 April at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida. He is on the run throughout the East Coast, Midwest and Northwest for 18 dates and will wrap up on 24 August at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

He intentionally left the Gillette Stadium for the final stop because it’s one of his favorite spots to play. In 2017, it was the only stadium stop of the year and it was ecstatic. Kenny explained that those two performances made him wanting to get out there with all the people that live the music and decide on the all-stadium tour.
“We have so much fun, so much life, so many memories – all tied up in these shows and these songs. I am ready to get out there and kick into another summer where we can all celebrate how lucky we are to love life and be able to come together.”
Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Brandon Lay will perform as opening acts on the shows and for the final few stops, Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osborne will join Chesney. The tour is in the support of his 30-song album called “Live from No Shoes Nation”. This is his second live album and first in over a decade. The project is a collection of his favorite live recordings from the last 10 years and features performances with Taylor Swift, Eric Church and many more. He has recorded 20 albums, 14 of which have been certified Gold or higher by the RIAA. His latest studio album “Hallelujah” was released in 2016.
Chesney is headed back on the road in full force and he stated that there is nothing like stadium full of people coming together to remind you what life is really about. The energy, the fun, the moments we treasure in life are what’s important and both he and his companions feel the same way.
“Every single one of these artists who’re coming out with us for Trip Around the Sun live their lives the exact same way: They work hard, they appreciate what they’re given, and they love music every bit as much as they love life. I, personally, can’t wait to see this show hit the road.”
