Kid Rock whose real name is Robert James Ritchie will be visiting venues all over America starting on Friday 28th June when he will be performing at The Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. On Saturday 29th June Kid Rock will be in Holmdel, New Jersey playing at The PNC Bank Arts Center before moving onto Cleveland, Ohio where he will be playing at The Blossom Music Center.
The early gigs of the 29 date tour will see Kool & The Gang and Uncle Kracker playing in support of Kid Rock, and later in the tour he will be joined by ZZ Top. The tour will see tickets available in all areas for as little as $20, which is an unprecedented move in today’s world of over-priced concerts and sporting events.
Kid Rock had the following to say about his upcoming summer tour. He said, “Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn’t want that to be a reason why everyone couldn’t get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night. So we’re going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks. Someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I’m lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever.”
After Ohio there will be further dates in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Colorado. On Friday 9th August the first of three gigs on consecutive nights will be performed at The DTE Energy Music Centre in Kid Rock’s home town of Detroit, Michigan. The tour finale will be on Sunday 15th September when Kid Rock will be in Tampa, Florida along with ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker, with the gig being held at The Live Nation Amphitheatre.
