Marilyn Manson Adds 63 New Dates to Heaven Upside Down Tour
The Heaven Upside Down Tour is the fifteenth concert tour by American rock band Marilyn Manson.
The tour kicked off on July 20, 2017 with five legs across Europe and North America and 63 dates with more dates expected to be added. Tickets for this extensive tour can be purchased here.
This concert tour is supporting Manson’s tenth studio album released on October 6, 2017. Songs “We Know Where YouF*****g Live”, “Revelation”, “Say 10” and “1” were debuted during the first European leg of the tour.
During the North American leg, it seems as if the band was jinxed. On September 29, while the band was performing at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Manson jumped from the stage to sing along with fans and broke his ankle.
The 48-year-old singer had another accident during the New York performance the following night in Hammerstein Ballroom. While he was performing “Sweet Dreams”, Manson had gone to the back of the stage, when a prop featuring two giant pistols, fell onto him. Stage prop weighed 750kg and he was lying on stage unconscious for fifteen minutes before he was carried on a stretcher to a nearby hospital.
The band representatives cancelled the next nine shows of the North American tour which will be rescheduled after Manson recovers completely in his home in Los Angeles. The tour is expected to continue at the late 2017 and the beginning of 2018.
Marilyn Manson is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and controversial figures in heavy metal music. Band members dressed in costumes with extensive makeup intentionally engaged in shocking behavior as a part of their image. They have released a number of platinum-selling albums and although some criticize them for their anti-religious sentiment and references to sex, violence and drugs, they have sold 50 million albums worldwide.
