Megadeth to Headline Psycho Las Vegas This August
Psycho Las Vegas returns this year and continues to make waves with its amazing lineup.
Both heavyweight and new bands are scheduled to play out over four stages across the Mandalay Bay property between 16 and 18 August and heavy metal, rock and punk fans will enjoy their favourite acts so buy your tickets on time.
The three-day festival returns to Las Vegas this August and more than 65 acts will hit the famous stages at Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino. Megadeth, Opeth and Electric Wizards will headline the Psycho Las Vegas and some of the most iconic names in the rock and punk will follow including Mogwai, Bad Religion, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Cold Cave and Andrew WK.
The special event was announced for 15 August when organizers will kick off the festival with Psycho Swim, all-day pool party at Daylight Beach Club featuring Corrosion of Conformity, Lucifer, Danava, ASG, Primitive Man, Idle Hands, Howling Giant and Thrown Into Exile.
Also scheduled to appear is Triumph Of Death, a brand new group established for the single purpose of the exhumation of classic material from Swiss black metal pioneer Thomas Gabriel Fischer’s outfit Hellhammer. The band parted in 1984 in order to form the massively influential Celtic Frost, and now many of Hellhammer’s songs will see their first-ever live performance in over 30 years during Triumph Of Death’s appearance at Psycho Las Vegas, which also will mark the group’s first U.S. performance.
The festival will also feature the popular Youtube heavy metal talk show, Two Minutes to Late Night, who will be posted up at Mandalay Bay all weekend and streaming live interviews with all of the bands.
Megadeth is currently working on a new album and promoting their latest greatest hits compilation Warheads On Foreheads. They were also scheduled to support Ozzy Osbourne on his North American Tour but all his dates were postponed due to his injury. This American heavy metal band was formed in 1983 when guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson left Metallica. The two brought life to Megadeth and made it become one of the “Big Four” American thrash metal bands. They’ve released 15 albums and sold more than 38 million records worldwide. While preparing their sixteenth album, they are also prepping up their first cruise scheduled for October 2019.
They will sail from Los Angeles and include acts like Anthrax, Testament, Overkill and more on their sea adventure. We can’t wait to see what they will come up next so visit Las Vegas and enjoy Psycho fest.
