Ne-Yo’s to tour the U.S. in February
After his January tour across the United Kingdom together with the Pussycat Dolls, R&B singer Ne-Yo will finally tour the United States.
Ne-Yo will begin his U.S tour on February 5 with a show in Las Vegas. The tour will then continue across the country, with stops in Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Houston, Washington, New York and Chicago – among other major cities.
The R&B singer will be touring behind his latest album, “Year of the Gentleman”, which was released in September 2008. The album sold 250,000 copies in its first week in the United States, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
The first two singles from the album, “Closer” and “Miss Independent,” peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the album has been nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Album and Album of the Year at the upcoming 2009 Grammy Awards. In addition, “Closer” has been nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and the song “Miss Independent” for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song.
