The reunited New Kids on the Block – one of the first and most successful boy bands ever – are touring the country right now.

Their tour entitled “New Kids on the Block: Live” kicked off on Sep. 18 and the group’s set list is a mix of material from their new album “The Block” and past hits such as “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff).”

“Our old songs aren’t necessarily standards — they were pretty sweet — but it’s going to be fun in a live show. People come to hear that music, so we’re going to sing it with basically the same sound. We’re not doing a reggae version of our three biggest hits because when I see that, it pisses me off. Even I’m like `Spare me.’ We have something like ten top ten hits, which is amazing. So if we do those and five new songs, we’ll have a hell of a show. We will give the people what they want to hear”, Donnie Wahlberg is quoted as saying on the boy band’s official website.

The reunion of the group’s now five fully-grown men, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre and Jordan and Jonathan Knight, has proven to be a huge success. Their concerts are as packed with screaming fans as they were during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the only difference is that the crowd’s average age is a little bit higher today then it was fourteen years ago.
