New Kids on the Block Tour
New Kids on the Block who have also been called the NKOTB are an award winning group of pop singers who had considerable success in the latter part of the eighties and the early part of the nineties.
They were one of the earlier boy bands and those of us who lived that era of pop music won’t forget their music or their energy.
Taking their beginnings in Boston in 1984 they consisted of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood.
NKOTB went straight up, selling more than 80 milion records, and doing literally hundreds of concerts nationally.
NKOTB paved the way for groups such as the Backstreet Boys, and won award after award for their music, including such greats as the American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band and Favorite Pop/Rock Album for “Hangin’ Tough”.
NKOTB broke up in 1994, and after a few tries at getting the group back together they reunited this year, and with a new look, a new style and a whole new album, New Kids are back.
Their concert tour is a singular success, reminscent of the old –New Kids, and well worth your time to take a look
