Noisy People “Punished” with Barry Manilow Music
A Colorado judge by the name of Paul Sacco has invented a new and very different kind of punishment for people who appear before his court for being too noisy, Yahoo! News reports.
What kind of punishment could that be? Well, if we are to believe this story, Judge Sacco gives noisy offenders a taste their own medicine by forcing them to listen to his favorite artist, Barry Manilow, or the theme from the children’s television show “Barney and Friends” at high volume for one hour!
Judge Paul Sacco introduced the new form of sentence after realizing that people who came before his court for disturbing their neighbors by playing their music too loudly tended to repeat this behavior.
Since the judge introduced this punishment, the number of repeat offenders has decreased.
But with more than 75 million records sold world wide, it is obvious that far from everybody considers Manilow’s music as punishment.
Since February 2005, Manilow has been the headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton, and has performed hundreds of sold out shows since. His concerts are almost always sold out, but tickets to his shows at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater on December 17, 19, 20, 29 and 30 are still available!
