Phish Announce 2013 Summer Tour Dates
American rock band Phish have announced their summer tour dates, a tour that will see them perform all across America. In all the band have 25 gigs pencilled in for this coming summer, gigs that are sure to see Phish concert tickets in high demand, whit the band ultimately playing to packed out venues once again.
The tour gets under way on Wednesday 3rd July at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine. The band will then move down to New York for the weekend where they will play three gigs at the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre in Saratoga Springs commencing on Friday 5th July and ending on Sunday 7th July.
The band will then fly to Canada and perform one gig at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on Tuesday 9th July, the first time they have played in Canada for almost 13 years, before a quick turnaround will see them return to America and perform at the PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, New Jersey on Wednesday 10th July.
Phish will then return to New York to perform for one night at Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre, Wantagh, before they head south to play two nights in Maryland and two nights In Georgia.
Further stops will see them playing in Illinois, Washington, Nevada and California, with the tour finale coming in Colorado. Phish will play three consecutive nights at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Commerce city starting on Friday 30th August and finishing on Sunday 1st September. The culmination of this years tour coincides with Labor Day weekend so if you want Phish concert tickets it would be advisable to get yours sooner rather than later.
Phish first performed in the early 1980’s and they are still going strong today and have a large and loyal fan base, despite them receiving little or no exposure compared to other bands. Band members Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell are sure to entertain their fans at this years concerts, as they will perform an eclectic mix of music including some of their old favourites and some of their new more new tunes.
