Pink Returns to the Tally with Beautiful Trauma Tour
The pop singer Pink kicks off the Australian leg of her Beautiful Trauma tour and returns to the tally with four dates in Perth.
The first four shows at the Perth Arena, Australia from 3 to 7 July were sold out completely and earned a whopping $7.6 million for 59,553 tickets. Pink landed on No.4 on Billboard’s Hot Tours this week.
Tickets for the remaining dates can be found here.
Pink’s current Beautiful Trauma tour has earned over $100 million throughout 46 performances across the United States but the Australian tour may break some records. Produced by Live Nation, the tour as announced as the most jaw-dropping tour of the year. The 38-year-old pop superstar arrives on stage in her typical style, hanging from a flame-throwing chandelier decked out in a black sequin jumpsuit while singing one of her first hits “Get the Party Started”. Her performance was even backed up with some innovative staging and Cirque Du Soleil-esque choreography backed by a troupe of dancers. The staging transformed into a fantasy wonderland for the ballet-inspired routine for a dramatic rendition of “Try” before she took to a flying bed for “Just Give Me a Reason”. Each and every song represents a spectacle for itself. Even a giant blow-up doll of Eminem appeared on stage to mime the rapper’s verse from their duet “Revenge”. No wonder her concerts are sold out. Fan are hungry for her soaring live voice, athletic prowess and a cheeky sense of humor.
The Australian band, The Rubens are supporting her on the extensive 46-show run across Australia from 3 July to 29 August in massive venues such as the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. They feel honored Pink chose them for the opener and they admit it will be a challenge to win over fans who may not be familiar with their music. Many artists don’t even know or care who supports them but Pink saw their music video “Million Man” and asked them to support her.
Beautiful Trauma continues throughout the summer, culminating with six nights in Auckland, New Zealand, between 4 and 11 September and also includes a nine-night run at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
