Post Malone to Put On a VR Concert
Post Malone is the latest artist to stream performance in virtual reality.
This Grammy awarded rapper and singer-songwriter will be stopping in Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 17th as a part of his ongoing Runaway Tour. The performance, which will take place at PNC Arena will be available to viewers across the country in Oculus Venues.
The fans will have the opportunity to virtually attend Post Malone’s concert by watching an engaging 180° VR live stream.
The popular VR streaming platform has hosted live performances from a great number of famous acts. Some of the artists that were recently featured in Oculus Venues include Billie Eilish, H.E.R, Tenacious D, Lupe Fiasco, Chromeo and more.
This won’t be the first time that the Hollywood Bleeding rapper performs in front of a live VR audience. Last year, his sold-out show at the Toyota Music Factory was broadcasted for VR viewers, who were able to see the action from the stage, among the crowd and other places.
Currently, Malone holds the top spot on Billboard Top 200 album chart. He is on tour promoting his latest “Hollywood Bleeding” album which came out earlier this year. It features collaborations with many popular artists such as Young Thug, SZA, Halsey, Travis Scott and Ozzy Osbourne. This brought him success on different charts, mainly in the R&B, rap and pop formats. The collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott “Take What You Want,” debuted at No. 8 high on the Billboard Hot 100.
