Spoon Expand 2022 Tour
Spoon added July tour dates across North America to their upcoming summer tour. The new leg spans July 7 through July 26 and features support from Bodega at select shows.
The Austin-based band’s July 2022 trek comes between their current U.S. tour and a co-headlining tour with Interpol in August and September. All dates come in support of Lucifer On The Sofa, a studio album released by Spoon in February.
The band began recording their tenth studio album in late 2018, at drummer Jim Eno’s studio with producers Mark Rankin and Justin Raisen. It was nearly finished as of early 2020, but was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spoon launches the July leg at Town Ballroom in Buffalo in July 7 ahead of a gig in Albany, New York on July 8 and an appearance at Festival d’ete de Quebec on July 9. From there the band visits London, Ontario on July 11 and hits the Midwest for concerts in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 12; Madison, Wisconsin on July 13; Urbana, Illinois on July 15 and Iowa City on July 16.
Britt Daniel and company head back to Canada for a series of dates to end the excursion. The swing through The Great White North starts in Winnipeg on July 18 and also includes stops in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 19; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on July 20; Edmonton on July 22; Calgary on July 23; Victoria, British Columbia on July 25 and Vancouver on July 26.
