Steely Dan Summer Concert Details – ‘The Mood Swings: 8 Miles To Pancake Day’
Music lovers everywhere will be rejoicing this morning at the news that the iconic 70’s band Steely Dan are to tour again this coming summer and autumn. The tour ‘The Mood Swings: 8 Miles To Pancake Day’ will see Walter Becker and Donald Fagen performing in states all across America, with a trip to Canada thrown in for good measure too. First stop of the tour will see Steely Dan performing in New Jersey on Friday 19th July at The Revel Ovation Hall in Atlantic City. The Revel Ovation Hall is a great place to start their ‘Mood Swings: 8 Miles To Pancake Day’ tour as the intimate venue is known for it’s electrifying atmosphere. July will be a busy month for the band because they will then perform eight more concerts in the space of just 11 days, with trips to New York, Canada, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana.
If you thought Steely Dan were busy in July just wait until you look at their schedule for August! During August they will be performing no less than 20 gigs, so they will be certainly clocking up the miles on their tour bus during that time. On Thursday 1st August they will be performing at The Ravinia Festival in Highland Park Illinois, before setting off for Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska and Colorado. Concerts in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and California are also scheduled for August, as they are for California, Nevada and Texas. The September concerts get under way on Tuesday 3rd September with a concert in one of Kansas City’s most treasured buildings, The Midland Theatre. It may only be a small venue, but it is one that Steely Dan and other musicians from around the world can’t wait to play in. From Kansas they will then play another 16 concerts in the space of 25 days with the tour finale being staged on Saturday 28th September at The Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
