This amazing singer was born in Seminole, TX and was at the very young age of 11 when she first starting performing in the year of 1969 in Las Vegas, NV.  At the age of 13 years old she began to generate the interest of record label companies as she released her very own version of the song “Delta Dawn” in the year of 1972.  Within the next two years this hit was followed by many hit which topped the carts such as “What’s Your Mama’s Name,” “Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone),” as well as “Blood Red and Goin’ Down.”

Throughout her long career of three decade of performances, Tanya has ensured that she has remained on the top as well as being credited with numerous Top 40 as well as Top 10 hits.  Tanya Tucker has made a career out of her singing, and has been named Country’s Music Association’s Female Vocalist within the year of 1991, and just a very short two years after that she was ultimately inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Walkway of the Stars as well as winning the Country Music Television’s Female Video Artist of the Year.  Tanya Tucker also received a Grammy Nomination in the year of 1994 for the Best Vocal Collaboration as well as Best Female Vocalist on “Romeo” along with Kathy Mattea, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Dolly Parton.

In the year of 2005 “Live at Billy Bob’s Texas” was released, at this time she contributed two of her songs to the album “A Tribute to Bob Wills 100^th Anniversary.”  In the year of 2009, Tanya released her very first cover album that was titled “My Turn.”  This amazing album featured many songs such as “Crazy Arms,” “Ramblin’ Fever,” as well as “You Don’t Know Me.”
