The Rolling Stones Go on the Road in 2019
The Rolling Stones have just announced details about their No Filter US tour and they are hitting the road in spring 2019. Tickets are in sale starting today so visit our page and purchase tickets for these rock legends. Who knows, maybe this would be their last tour.
The band started touring back in 1964 and at the time they travelled in a station wagon. A lot has changed over the years and they didn’t even dream abot becoming the biggest rock band of our time.
“America was a very different place in the middle ’60s,” Keith Richards told told in a recent interview. “Quite honestly, I can’t believe I’ve been around this long, man. I’ve watched this country grow up.”
Their last tour was Zip Code Tour in 2015. In 2017 and 2018, they kicked off No Filter Tour and played 28 shows over Europe.
After a short pause, they are performing at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on 13 April. Their 13-show track will make stops in Houston, Santa Clara, Seattle, Denver, Washington and many more before it wraps up at Soldier Field in Chicago on 21 June.
Rolling Stones released a covers album of blues music entitled, Blue & Lonesome, back in 2016. Their last original recordings, “Doom and Gloom” and “One More Shot”, were included on the 2012 greatest hits album GRRR!.
The Stones always center their show around big hits like “Satisfaction”, “Gimme Shelter” and “Sympathy For The Devil”, but they’ve recently been sprinkling deep cuts like “Play With Fire”, “Out of Control”, “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” and “Neighbours” into the mix. For this US leg, they have announced some fresh music. They are constantly working on new material but new songs are still in an early stage but we sure have something to hope for.
In the recent interview, Keith Richards, a legendary guitarist with a 50-year-long career spoke about his fellow members in a highly positive tone. When asked how 77-year-old Charlie Watts is still able to drum he simply replied that that’s who he is.
“That is just Charlie. That’s what’s so amazing about the man. It’s my privilege to play with Charlie Watts.”
Richard ended the interview with the worlds “Give me 50,000 people and I feel right at home. The whole band does. As Ronnie and I often say before we go on, ‘Let’s get onstage and get some peace and quiet.’”
These guys are maybe old but they sure have the energy of the 20-year-old musicians. Cant’t wait to watch them on stage again.
