Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to Headline Summerfest
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have announced that they will be one of the headliners for the 2013 Summer-fest. Taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this mega concert is billed as “The World’s Largest Music Festival”.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been making music together for over fifty years and are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite their age they are still well known for putting on high energy live performances and long lasting shows. With dozens of top hits including “American Girl”, “Refugee”, Mary Jane’s Last Dance and others it is no surprise that this impressive group is headlining this show.
Tickets go on sale for the music festival Friday, March 8th at 11AM. You’ll have access to the entire festival including the Heartbreakers show. Summer-fest is always an exciting time in Milwaukee and late June to early July is sure to have perfect weather for a great outdoor concert series such as this. People will undoubtedly be traveling from the surrounding states to see this exciting show.
Additional acts which will be playing throughout the festival include Jason Aldean, Jake Owen & Thomas Rhett which will play June 29th. New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men who play on July 2nd and Rush who plays on the 4th of July. Additional acts are also scheduled and more will likely join the ticket over the coming weeks. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will be playing on June 28th as the headliners to the first night of the festival.
This will undoubtedly be the hottest ticket in Wisconsin for 2013 and anyone who has never had a chance to see Tom Petty live will want to get out there and catch him while they still can. The legendary Tom Petty won’t be able to play forever…Or so we think.
