As an iconic R&B as well as a very popular soul vocal group, this well know awesome group has been on the music scene since they started in 1960, and they still take their audiences by storm as they sing out their signature doo-wop charisma. In the beginning of their musical career in the early ‘60s, it was by far “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” which was a Smokey Robinson written as well as produced song that ultimately turned The Temptation into musical stars in 1964. And they still shine bright as the pioneers of popular music today.
Although, the members have changed over the course of the years, this soulful group has remained consistent and true to the original band’s smooth musical roots. The founding member Otis Williams remains in the group today and is now joined by Terry Weeks, Ron Tyson, Bruce Williamson and Joe Herndon and with them comes the band prospers which can be seen together regularly on tour in locations such as Las Vegas.
The Temptations were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the year 1989 as they released 14 Billboard R&B Number one hit singles as well as earning three Grammy Awards, it is very clear that these amazing performers are still going strong. Three of the songs by The Temptations are still among the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 song list that shaped Rock and Roll, “Papa was a Rolling Stone,” “My Girl,” as well as “Just My Imagination (Running away With Me).”
