Adam Sandler Announces Standup Tour

12th September 2022 | Category: Theater

Adam Sandler is heading back out on the road for a Fall 2022 standup tour. The 15-city US trek will feature a currently unannounced surprise guest.

The arena tour launches on October 21st in Allentown, Pennsylvania ahead of stops in Boston, Atlantic City, Tampa, and more. Though he’s never quite reporting “LIVE FROM NEW YORK” directly, the former SNL star will play four shows in and around the state, including Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center in Verona, New York on October 25th, Long Island’s Belmont Park on October 27th, Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 28th, and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on October 29th.

A week later, Sandler continues the tour with four nights in Florida between Tampa, Estero, Hollywood, and St. Augustine. He visits Greenville, South Carolina on November 11th, Duluth, Georgia on November 12th, and Raleigh, North Carolina on November 13th. The comedy tour is then scheduled to conclude in Savannah, Georgia on November 14th.

Sandler last took his signature blend of comedy and music on the road in 2019 following his Netflix special 100% Fresh, which hit the streamer one year earlier. Joined by Rob Schneider on select dates, the actor and comedian expanded the tour into early 2020 but made it only two dates in before scrapping the remaining shows due to pandemic restrictions.

Since then, he has given the performance of his career in Uncut Gems, starred as a basketball scout in the sports drama Hustle, and played a more comedic role in Hubie Halloween.

Machine Head Announce Fall 2022 US Tour

8th September 2022 | Category: Concerts

Machine Head have announced a Fall 2022 US tour in support of their recently released new album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN.

The outing kicks off November 3rd in Fresno, California and runs through December 23rd in Sacramento, California.

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn had this to say in a press statement:

“Were fucking STOKED to get out and demolish venues in some of our favorite small towns in America. We have had an awesome and productive pandemic break writing our new album ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN, but now it’s time for Machine Head to go melt some faces!! The reaction to our ‘Electric Happy Hour (Live)’ shows in Scotland so far are nothing short of incredible, so for this first leg of this U.S. run we will continue and will see us performing solo for 2 ½ to 3 hours a night. We LOVED performing our online shows which we dubbed Electric Happy Hour for you Head Cases over the pandemic, the loose, beer-drenched and unscripted setlist, the deep-cuts, the random cover songs, it gave us the freedom to do whatever the fuck we wanted for as long as we wanted every night was liberating. It’s not what everyone else is doing, and frankly, there are not a lot of bands who could even pull it off, but Machine Head CAN pull it off, and we are excited as fuck to do it again. We are carving our own path here, playing by our own rules, and as an artist, it’s the best feeling in the world, so come down and rage!!”

Johnny Depp to Join Most of Jeff Beck’s North American Tour Dates

5th September 2022 | Category: Concerts

Johnny Depp is set to join Jeff Beck for the majority of the guitarist’s upcoming North American tour.

The news follows the release of the pair’s joint album, 18, which arrived on July 15th.

The dates were announced earlier this month, but Depp’s involvement wasn’t revealed at the time. The actor-musician will be joining Beck on the road beginning October 4th in Washington, D.C., and will remain on the outing through its closing date of November 12th in Reno, Nevada.

Prior to Depp joining the tour, Beck will play a handful of late September shows supporting ZZ Top, as well as one headlining gig in Atlanta on October 1st.

Depp and Beck have teamed up on various behind-the-scenes projects for several years. Back in 2020, the pair released a cover of John Lennon‘s ‘Isolation’, marking their first official release together.

Following reports they were working on new music together, Depp – who, at the time, was waiting for the verdict in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard – appeared on stage alongside Beck at a gig in Sheffield on May 29, 2021, performing covers of Lennon, Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix. The duo then appeared together for the second time at London’s Royal Albert Hall two nights later.

On one of the Depp originals, “Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade,” the actor was accused of lifting lyrics from an old poem titled “Hobo Ben.” The record label responded by stating, “If appropriate, additional copyright credits will be added to all forms of the album.”
