Celebrating David Bowie Tour to Hit in Early 2018

3rd October 2017 | Category: Las Vegas

An array of prominent musicians that worked with the late legend, David Bowie, during his esteemed career have joined their forces together for the venture that will kick off at Salle Pleyel in Paris, January 10 and end at Roseland Theatre in Portland, Oregon on March,11, 2018.

“Celebrating David Bowie” tour will consist of 26 concerts across Europe, U.S. and Canada. The artists will perform all the biggest Bowie songs the fans expect from 1969 “Space Oddity” to 2016 “Blackstar” with tickets for the tour available for purchase here.

His fans have already enjoyed a series of shows earlier this year since members of various David Bowie backing bands and the complete list of musicians that supported him on his 2003-2004 “A Reality Tour” came together to celebrate and honour him on what would have been his 70th birthday. Since the tour was a success, Angelo Bundini, organizer and producer of this tour was flooded with offers to do more shows so they are teaming up again for a 2018 tribute tour.

Among the many that are set to perform on “Celebrating David Bowie Tour” are pianist Mike Garson, King Crimson’s Adrian Belew, bassist Carmine Rojas, Fishbone lead singer Angelo Moore, Sting’s son Joe Sumner, Gerry Leonard and Guatemalan singer  Gaby Moreno. This extensive lineup stretches over entire Bowie’s career. Many special guests are expected across the live shows.

Bundini, who is not only the organizer of this spectacle but also performs as a guitarist, said that so far the shows were about communities coming together to reflect on David and his music but that’s not the case on this tour.

“David was famous for not being nostalgic so this time we’re going to follow his lead by being more Bowie future than Bowie past. It’s the same bellowed Bowie catalogue but a whole new approach that’s even more Bowie than our last shows.”

Last year, the startling news of David’s death after battling cancer, left everyone saddened and seeking solace. He was a leading figure in popular music for over five decades and this could be our chance to honour his innovative music, to honour him and his legacy.

Paul McCartney Rocks on His One on One Tour

28th September 2017 | Category: Concerts

Paul McCartney has just rocked out his epic 8-date, 4-venue New York Run in September as part of his historic tour and reviews couldn’t be any better. Don’t miss to enjoy the music of this famous performer and buy your tickets here.

Paul McCartney is currently on the road with his world-wide “On on One” tour. The tour began in Fresno, U.S. on April 13 and is scheduled to end on December 16 in Auckland, New Zealand. Concerts are divided in ten legs consisting 49 shows in North America, 8 in South America, 10 in Europe, 4 in Asia and 7 in Oceania.

Paul managed to pack the best of his legendary sex-decade-career into his “One On One” tour, performing 40 songs for three hours and rolling through the memories playing both Beatles and Wings hits. He tried to describe the title of the tour:

“When I do the show, I feel like I’m kind of talking to someone like me in the audience, even though you’re at the back of the hall, we try and bring the intimacy to you. It’s me, one-on-one, with every member of the audience”.

He mixed it up a little bit with a 1980 synth-pop oddity “Temporary Secretary” and “FourFiveSeconds”, his collaboration with Kanye West and Rihanna. He also pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix with an instrumental guitar jam of “Foxy Lady.”

LeRoy Bennet, legendary production and lighting designer, gave its best to create experiential elements for this tour with semitransparent LED screens adding depth and a 3-dimensional feel for the audience. For selected acoustic sets, Bennet created original animations and video content and hundreds of lights while Paul is suspended in the air above the audience to celebrate the 50th anniversary of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” release.

He also created “Bayou Shack” section in the middle of the show that creates an illusion as if you are in the House of Blues instead in a large arena. This is definitely a spectacle not only for our ears but also for our eyes.

Berry Marshall from the Marshall Arts Team promoting McCartney explained how Paul always comes up with great ideas and loves to try different things to surprise the audience.

“His concerts provide a special escape from the pressures of life and, in my experience, it’s a musical journey which transcends all generations, and sees everyone who leaves each concert feeling joy, which endures long after the last notes are played.”

No matter what style of music he plays, this 75-year-old artist is the man who enjoys where he has been in life and looking forward to where he is headed.

Tickets for all the concerts can be found here.

John Mayer Bags $50M from Search for Everything Tour

27th September 2017 | Category: Concerts

After seven weeks of travelling around the U.S. and Canada and performing in arenas and open-air amphitheatres, John Mayer has finally finished the North American run of his “Search for Everything Tour”.

According to Billboard, the ticket sales have brought in nearly $50 million since the launch of the tour back in March. Around 685,000 fans have attended the 52 performances over the late spring and summer.

Produced by Live Nation, this third headlining tour is in support of his seventh studio album by the same name – ”The Search for Everything”. The first North American run through 15 arenas started with a concert in Albany on March 31 and ended on April 22 in Las Vegas and grossed over $14 million. The European leg consisted of 8 performances starting May 2 in Amsterdam and ending May 12 in London and earned $1.7 million. The second, more extensive North American run kicked off on July 18 at Isleta Amphitheatre in Albuquerque and ended at Klipsch Music Center in Indianapolis on September 3, grossing $ 28 million in box office revenue and this, all together, earned him No 1 on Billboard’s weekly Hot Tours.

John Mayer’s fans still have the opportunity to enjoy his music on his South American run in October before he joins “Dead & Company” in November. On his final run of the “Search for Everything tour”, he will hit arenas in Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.

Tickets can be bought here.

This Connecticut-born singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer started his career performing mainly acoustic rock, but over the years he moved towards blues collaborating with Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and B.B. King. He withdrew from public life for few years due to his vocal cord treatments and several controversial incidents with media but he returned to the stage in 2013 with his country-influenced album “Paradise Valley”.

His interests extend to television hosting, comedy and writing columns for magazines such as Esquire. While guest hosting “The Late Late Show” in February 2015, Mayer invited Grateful Dead guitar player Bob Weir to join him in a studio performance and the two have developed close bond. This accidental friendship resulted in forming a new band Dead & Company consisting of three former members of Grateful Dead and John.

Dead & Company will perform 15 shows in 14 cities between November 12 and December 8 on their “Fall Tour 2017”. Although the band hasn’t released studio recordings yet, they will perform the Grateful Dead large catalogue of songs.

Tickets for all venues can be purchased here.
