Imagine Dragons Spreading Wings for the Evolve Tour

29th August 2017 | Category: Concerts

Great news for all of the summer hit “Thunder” fans!

Imagine Dragons are hitting the road for the third time in support of their third studio album “Evolve” released on May 9, 2017. The tour is scheduled to start on September 26, 2017 with a concert in Phoenix, Arizona and is scheduled to end on November 16, 2017, in Anaheim, California.

The tour consists of 31 dates all over Canada and United States. Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band will bring its electrifying live show to arenas across North America, produced by Live Nation and in support of Grouplove and K. Flay. Don’t miss your favourite band and buy tickets here.

This alternative-rock band from Las Vegas first gained exposure in 2012 after releasing their debut studio album “Night Visions”. They were “The Breakthrough Band” of 2013 according to Billboard and their single “Radioactive” the biggest rock hit of the year.  Imagine Dragons won two American Music Awards for Favourite Alternative Artist, a Grammy for Best Rock Performance, five Billboard Awards and a World Music Award.

In 2014, they were nominated for 14 Billboard Music Awards including the Milestone Award which recognizes innovation and creativity of artists. While they were on a two-year-tour that included 130 concerts and 50 festivals, they created material for the next album to deal with the chaos of touring. “So many things were changing for us so quickly the only way to feel some kind of stability was to keep writing,” said frontman Dan Reynolds. Their second album “Smoke + Mirrors” revealed the pain and exhilaration that comes with soul-searching and transcendence.

“A lot of the vocals on the album were ones that I recorded into my laptop or a cheap USB mike in my hotel room, because those were the takes that really had the spirit of the moment when the song was written,” Reynolds pointed out.

The band also added depth to their already intricate rhythms and melodies by using instruments they collected on the road. They have sold 9 million albums and 27 million singles worldwide and although their third album “Evolve” received mixed critical reception, the album reached the top five in most countries and is definitely worth listening.

Pick a venue and enjoy this sonically adventurous but unabashedly honest music. Tickets for all dates can be purchased here.

Their 2017 No Filter Tour is kicking off with a 14-date European leg in 12 different European cities this fall, starting off on September 9 in Hamburg’s Stadtpark which hasn’t been used for a major live music gig since 1989. The itinerary includes stops in Germany, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, The Netherlands, Denmark and France throughout the September and October.

As always, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will treat European fans with a set list of classic hits and fan favourites like “Gimme Shelter”, “Paint It Black”, “Brown Sugar”, “Jumping Jack Fish”.  But this time, the rock veterans also promise to “include a couple of unexpected tracks each night and randomly selected surprises from their formidable arsenal of songs”.

According to a press release, the No Filter Tour will feature a spectacular new production and state of the art stage design. This is the band’s first tour since the On Fire Tour in 2014. The No Filter tour is in support of their 2016 album “Blue 8 Lonesome”, an album of blues covers which marked their first full-length studio album in over a decade, since “A Bigger Band” in 2005.

“I’m so excited to be touring Europe this Autumn and returning to some familiar places and some we’ve never done before,” said front man Mick Jagger, while guitarist Keith Richards simply added “Hey guys, here we come. See you there!”

In addition to Live Nation and Rhythm Nation, her own record label, the tour was also sponsored by Jam Productions, Nederlander Concerts, Another Planet Entertainment, Bamp and Tommy Meherey. Multiple legs were planned for the North America, Asia and Europe but last April, the 50-year-old singer had to postpone the tour due to her pregnancy.

“My husband and I are planning our family. I’m gonna have to delay the tour. Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”

“I can’t wait for us to get started again,” she added.

Jackson married Al Mana, a billionaire businessman from Qatar in 2012. Her first single following a seven-year-hiatus titled “No Sleep” was inspired by Al Mana, the couple reportedly split earlier this year. Now, the pop superstar who gave birth to her first child in January, announced that she is gearing up to resume the tour in September, renamed as State of the World Tour. Mom Janet is apparently ready to hit the road.

With a simple tweet, Jackson announced, “Hey u guys. I’m so excited for the State of the World Tour. We’re in rehearsal mode. See u guys in 1 month!”

Donatella Versace Pays Tribute to Bruno Mars after Milan Concert

11th August 2017 | Category: Concerts

At his concert in Milan which is a part of the artist’s 24K Magic tour for which the tickets can be purchased here, Bruno Mars said that he was inspired by the famous designer Donatella Versace when talking about the creation of his great “Versace on the floor” hit.

Donatella herself followed the show and enjoyed the attention. Apparently, now she has decided to return a favour with the video she posted on her Instagram account Monday morning. The video features her and a lip-sync super models like Candice Swanepoel, Natasha Poly, Binx Walton, KiKi Willems and Faretta all wearing Versace models and dancing to Bruno’s latest single.  They have been dancing around a room so ornately detailed it resembles a museum and of course, they nailed it.

The caption reads “To my special friend @BrunoMars #VersaceOnTheFloor.” And the video closes with the words, “To my friend Bruno, have fun!”

The video has already grabbed over 100,000 views since Monday and can be looked on as a promotional campaign as well as a tribute to a friend since Bruno is currently on his 24K Magic Tour in support of his 2016 album by the same name.

The 24K Magic Tour is his third concert tour that began March 28, 2017 at the Sportpaleis, Antwerp and will conclude at Estadio Universitario in Monterrey on June 8, 2018.

Together with his dynamic band “The Hooligans”, Mars first kicked off Europe and the UK. The North American leg began on July 15 in Las Vegas and extends until November 11 in California. Latin America will enjoy Bruno’s performance from November 18, 2017 till February 5, 2018. He will be hitting Oceania and Asia from February 27, 2018 till May 9, 2018. Tickets for all concerts can be purchased here. Bruno Mars made history on this tour by becoming the first artist since Beyonce to sell out four concert nights at Spark Arena in New Zealand in one day.

This extended 96-date-tour is produced by Live Nation and the singer has been working with Phil Tayag, a member of the hip-hop dance crew “Jabbawockeez”.

Bruno Mars is not just a classic song-and-dance man and a multi-platinum selling star, but a songwriter and a producer that has successfully combined the sounds of his pop idols with reggae and hip hop to create a new generation of genre-crossing hits.

Tickets for the ongoing 24 Magic Tour can be purchased here.

Lady Gaga Smashes the Opening Night of the Joanne World Tour

8th August 2017 | Category: Concerts

Lady Gaga’s long expected “Joanne World Tour” has finally kicked off on August 1 in Vancouver after Gaga’s agonizing over every detail from the look of the stage and the lights to which hair colour would best be accepted by Little Monsters as she calls her fans.

She recently told Billboard that this tour will look like nothing we’ve seen before. She definitely didn’t disappoint her Little Monsters and has put on a jaw-dropping show!

You can get a glimpse of her extravagant display yourselves if you purchase tickets here and visit any of her upcoming concerts.

A multiplatform main stage is shape-shifting just like the singer herself, lighting pods hanging from the ceiling become video screens and later descent to become catwalks giving Gaga and her dancers bridges so they can spread on smaller platforms across the arena.

She looked pretty epic when she hit the stage with the opening theme “Diamond Heart” with a ten-gallon hat and a pair of spurs, and lot of her fans said yee-haaaaw. Magazines report that between all the costume changes and props, she used 550,000 Swarovski crystals. Her outfits include a crystal-encrusted bodysuit, a custom made black Alexander Wang fringe leather suit, red Norma Kamali sleeping bag-style coat and a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti ankle boots with a crystal strap. She has done everything to surprise and amaze us.

Gaga left the Canadian audience speechless from the moment she stepped on the stage until the very end. She performed 22 hits and the crowd was treated with live debut of the track “Dancing in Circles”.

She promised to continue to unveil new live versions of songs as the tour progresses. The show was filled with artful stage work, pyro, epic choreography and a tribute to LGBTQ community, everything we expected from this singer who has built her career on out-there showmanship bordering on performance art.

Joanne World Tour is the fifth headlining concert tour in support of Gaga’s fifth album Joanne released in 2016. The tour launched on August 2, 2017 in Vancouver, Canada  and is scheduled to end on December 18, 2017, in Inglewood, United States. This 60-date-tour across North America, South America and Europe is supported by Live Nation. First US leg of the tour started in Tacoma on August 5, so don’t miss out your favourite singer and purchase tickets here.

Live Nation also announced that $1 of every sold ticket for the US shows would be given to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
