GOT7’s Mark Tuan Announces ‘the other side’ North American Tour

8th July 2022 | Category: Concerts

Mark Tuan has announced an upcoming North American tour for 2022, with 16 dates currently scheduled.

The Taiwanese-American musician took to Twitter on July 7 to announce that he is set to embark on a tour of 15 North American cities this year. Tuan is set to visit major cities such as San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco and more, as well as two shows in his home city of Los Angeles.

In addition to the US, the K-pop idol will also perform in the Canadian cities of Toronto and Vancouver.

Tuan’s North American trek, dubbed the ‘The Other Side’ tour, will be in support of his upcoming solo record of the same name. Due out on August 26, ‘The Other Side’ will mark Tuan’s first full-length album as a solo artist. Specifics about the new album, including its tracklist and more, are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Earlier this month, Tuan released the single ‘imysm’. It was the latest in a string of solo releases by the K-pop idol this year, preceded by the songs ‘lonely’, ‘save me’, ‘my life’ and ‘Last Breath’. It is currently unknown if any of Tuan’s five solo tracks will appear on his forthcoming debut record.

Meanwhile, Tuan, along with the remaining six members of GOT7, made their long-awaited return as a group in May with their eponymous mini-album, featuring the title track ‘NANANA’. It marked the septet’s first record together since they departed from their previous management JYP Entertainment in January last year.

Sugababes Announce First UK Headline Tour in Over 20 Years

24th June 2022 | Category: Concerts

Ahead of their appearance at Glastonbury Festival this weekend, Sugababes have confirmed a UK tour.

The reformed band – Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan – will be heading out on their first UK headline tour in over 20 years in October, kicking off in Bristol before taking in Leeds, Manchester and Cardiff. The 17-date tour also includes a headline show at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith and will finish with a gig at Glasgow’s o2 Academy.

Speaking about the announcement, the band said:

“We’re so excited to come full circle and announce our own headline UK tour.  We’ll be hitting the road in October and November – can’t wait to see you all there.”

The news follows a headline appearance at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival and comes ahead of a highly-anticipated appearance at Glastonbury Festival this weekend. The trio are set to play The Avalon Stage on Friday night before headliners Reef, who are replacing The Damned who had to pull out of the festival due to COVID.

Tickets for the Sugababes tour go on sale next Friday, July 1.

Last year, the Sugababes spoke to NME about the prospect of new music.

According to Donaghy, “COVID threw a spanner in the works. We were recording before the series of lockdowns in the past year, but we’ve got so much material that we need to work through. We probably need to do a little more recording. As soon as we can get back together in the studio, we’re going to work on something fresh. But there’s a lot of material that I feel we should collate together because it’s some of our best work ever and it would be a shame for it not to be released properly.”

Declan McKenna Reveals 2022 Tour Dates

21st June 2022 | Category: Concerts

Declan McKenna is ready to take Zeros on the road. The English artist has officially announced a 2022 tour in support of his 2020 sophomore album.

Beginning September 25th in Seattle, the “Zeros Tour USA” marks McKenna’s first live performances in the US since 2019. The trek will also hit cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Atlanta before wrapping up in Houston on October 20th. Indie pop artist Annie DiRusso will open for McKenna on all 15 of the dates.

“My last show in America was a one off while making my second album in Nashville 3 years ago now,” the singer-songwriter said in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming but myself and my band are as ready as we’ve ever been and just cannot wait to be finally coming back with a whole new show.”

DiRusso added, “I initially found Declan’s music when I was 15 around the buzz of ‘Brazil.’ I became a huge fan, watched everything he had out on the internet at the time and listened to What Do You Think About the Car? on repeat when it came out. I always dreamed of opening for him and even cold emailed his team in high school in an effort to support him when he came to the New York area. His music solidified how impactful lyrics could be for me.”

Back in 2020, McKenna shared the Origins of the Zeros song “Be an Astronaut.” Later, he caught up with Kyle Meredith about his role as an environmental activist, and talked collaborating with Rostam for the 2021 one-off single “My House.”

Post Malone Announces 2022 Tour

16th June 2022 | Category: Concerts

Post Malone has mapped out a 33-date North American arena tour in support of his newly revealed album, Twelve Carat Toothache.

The “Twelve Carat Tour” runs from September through mid-November, and includes multiple nights in New York and Los Angeles, as well as a four-date swing through Texas. The itinerary also includes shows in cities like Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, Nashville, Atlanta, Seattle, and Vancouver. For the majority of these dates, he’ll be joined by special guest Roddy Ricch

Prior to embarking on the “Twelve Carat Tour,” Posty will headline San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival in August.

His fourth album Twelve Carat Toothache arrived on June 3, after being previewed with The Weeknd collaboration ‘One Right Now’ in November, and ‘Cooped Up’ last month. Other guests on the album include Doja Cat, Gunna, The Kid LAROI, and Fleet Foxes‘ Robin Pecknold.

The rapper and singer revealed in a recent interview that he considers the bathroom to be his “oasis” where he has also written around 30 percent of his albums to date.

“Shit literally comes to me because I write all my songs on the can,” he told The Howard Stern Show. “I’d say about 30 per cent of all my albums have been written on the shitter, and I’d say 60 per cent of lyrics have been written on the shitter.”

He added that he can spend up to two hours on the toilet on occasion writing music and that he has a special notepad for the activity.

Malone continued:

“It’s my special zone because no one wants to come talk to you while you’re taking a shit. No one, I don’t care who it is. I wouldn’t say it’s a hideaway as much as it’s an oasis.”

Elsewhere in the interview Malone confirmed that his girlfriend (now fiancée) gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles last month.
