MONSTA X Unveil Rescheduled 2022 North American Tour Dates

5th June 2021 | Category: Concerts

MONSTA X’s postponed North American tour has officially been rescheduled to 2022, their agency Starship Entertainment confirmed.

In a statement released on May 24, the South Korean label announced that the dates for the rescheduled 2022 US and Canada tour have been finalized. The company also noted that all existing tickets will be accepted for the new dates.

“We have been keeping an eye on the COVID-19 situation and are pleased to inform you for the newly coordinated 2022 MONSTA X World Tour In US/Canada tour schedule,” Starship said in its statement. “All existing tickets will be honoured for new dates.”

MONSTA X’s 2020 North American tour will kick off the 13-date on January 29 in New York City, followed by a quick stop in Toronto, Canada. The six-piece boy band will then return to the US for the remainder of the tour, ending the tour in Los Angeles, California on February 27.

The MONSTA X World Tour in US/Canada was originally scheduled for June and July 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later set to begin the tour in April 2021, but was also postponed for the same reason.

Meanwhile, the K-pop act released their latest domestic mini-album, One Of A Kind on June 1. This is the group’s ninth mini-album since their 2015 debut and first Korean comeback since they dropped their fourth studio album Fatal Love in November 2020.

The boyband has returned with a captivating video for their title track, ‘Gambler’. The new single tells a story of two lovers and their fatal attraction to one another, along with their readiness to risk it all for each other and it was co-written by members Joohoney and I.M.

Modest Mouse Confirm US Tour 2021 & Share New Single

4th June 2021 | Category: Concerts

Modest Mouse are heading out on tour starting in August to support their upcoming album The Golden Casket

The tour also shows in Boston, New Haven, DC, Detroit, Portland, San Francisco, Chicago’s Lollapalooza, Austin’s ACL Fest, Colorado’s Red Rocks and more. The Red Rocks show, as well as dates in Seattle, Oklahoma City, Nashville, and Cincinnati, are with Future Islands.

The band’s upcoming seventh album The Golden Casket will be out on June 25. It comes after their last album Strangers to Ourselves, which was released six years ago.

Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and Modest Mouse’s Portland studio, the record is said to reflect “the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science,” according to an official release.

The release adds: “The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in frontman [Isaac] Brock’s head.”

Before announcing the new record, Modest Mouse’s last release was 2019’s ‘Ice Cream Party’, their third track of that year which followed on from their 7″ single ‘Poison The Well’.

Modest Mouse have recently shared a video for lead single ‘We Are Between’, directed by Kyle Thrash, and featuring lead singer Isaac Brock.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Postpone North American Tour To 2022

2nd June 2021 | Category: Concerts

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have postponed their next North American tour once again. The Australian rockers are now slated to embark on the run in October 2022.

The tour was initially set to take place in the spring of 2020 and then was rescheduled for Fall 2020 before it was pushed to October 2021 due to the pandemic. King Gizzard & Lizard Wizard will bring the run to North America between October 2 – 31, 2022 with support from Leah Senior.

A show featuring a three-hour marathon set at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California will open the tour on October 2, 2022. Concerts in Vancouver on October 5 and Seattle on October 6 follow before shows with three-hour marathon sets will be held at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on October 10 and 11.

King Gizz continues the tour in St. Paul on October 14. Dates in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Asheville, and Atlanta come next. The band will end the excursion on Halloween 2022 in Oklahoma City.

“This was an extraordinarily tough decision to make but I hope y’all can understand the complexities that come with a giant tour of the States and Canada with a 6 piece band and a 6 person crew from Australia during a pandemic,” wrote King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. “We’ve tried our hardest to reschedule as many of these shows as possible at the same venues. That means your ticket will still be valid if you want to go.”

The group urges ticket holders who cannot attend the new dates to contact venues for refunds.

A performance scheduled for Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre has been canceled outright. King Gizz’s statement notes a show at a bigger New York City venue will be added to the run

Next month, on June 11, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are releasing their next studio album Butterfly 3000. Earlier in 2021, the Australian band issued L.W.

Des Rocs Announces Debut Headline Tour

1st June 2021 | Category: Concerts

Des Rocs announced his first ever headline tour, “Des Rocs Alive”.

He wrote of the news on twitter:

“this ain’t a joke, i’ll do the sentimental post later about how much this means to me but for now MY FIRST EVER HEADLINE TOUR IS HERE & I’M READY TO DRINK UR SWEAT & PRAY TO THE DEVIL LETS GOOOOO!”

The musician will hitting the road for 21 shows this fall.

The trek kicks off with Des’ appearance at the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware the weekend of September 23-26 with shows booked through his Nov. 4 hometown finale at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom.

“I feel like I was put on this earth to play shows,” said Des. “Since I was 13 I’ve played my guitar in basements and dive bars across the country to anyone who’d listen. This tour is a lifetime in the making. All the bumps and bruises along the way have made me who I am, they’re gonna pour out through my veins every single night of this tour. I can’t wait to finally put all these songs on a stage after dreamin’ about it for a year in isolation. I’m ready to lose myself again, the way I always have.”

The announcement of “Des Rocs Alive” follows his breakthrough EP “This Is Our Life”, which was released via 300 Entertainment in December of 2020. The album’s title track “This Is Our Life” has been streamed 6M+ times and hit Top 20 at Active Rock radio and Top 40 at Alternative radio.

With a law degree — and opening gigs for The Rolling Stones and Muse — under his belt, the ambitious rocker who grew up in Long Island and previously played in the band Secret Weapons in a recent interview said this about his new EP:

“There’s always common ground in my EPs. We might release a lot of the songs as singles in the run-up to all of them existing together, but they’re all tied together by certain themes. … This one is uniquely focused on introspection and deals with a lot of personal struggles.”
