Bring Me The Horizon Add Another Date to 2021 UK Arena Tour

5th February 2021 | Category: Concerts

Bring Me The Horizon have announced a new date to kick off their 2021 UK arena tour.

Before taking on arenas in Glasgow, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham, and London this September, the British rockers will be hitting Hull’s Bonus Arena for a bonus date. When the tour was originally announced last year, they said that these were Horizon’s “only UK dates of 2021”.

These dates will also be the first time that the band will be playing some of the tracks from their latest release ‘POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR’ live, which was released back in October.

Speaking to Kerrang! in December 2020 about the tour, the band’s Jordan Fish enthused: “We haven’t done an arena run like that since about 2015. We haven’t done the O2 for a while, so there was a bit of nerves about that going on sale. But unless you’re Justin Bieber or someone you’ll always feel like that about it. But they’re selling really well, it looks like it’ll sell out, and I’m really looking forward to having big shows like that to play – it’s going to be such a vibe.”

He added:

“We’re planning on playing most of the new record, but that makes a challenge because you have to think how you’re going to fit everything in. Our drummer [Mat Nicholls] was like,‘I guess we have to play for fucking ages, then.’ My dream is to do three hours, basically, which is an ongoing battle between me and him! We may have another record out by then as well…”

Here you can pick up tickets to Bring Me The Horizon’s tickets for the previously mentioned live dates this year.

Harry Styles Postpones His UK and European Tour Indefinitely

4th February 2021 | Category: Concerts

Harry Styles has decided to hold off his 2021 UK and European tour indefinitely.

The pop star was set to hit the road in support of his second solo album ‘Fine Line’ this April, but he postponed the dates until February and March 2021 due to the coronavirus crisis.

Styles took to his social media pages to confirm that the scheduled concerts will not take place “until further notice”.

“Everyone’s health and safety remains our top priority,” he wrote. “I really hope to play these shows and will have news for you in the new year on when they will take place.”

Styles added: “I can’t wait to see you all on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so. Treat people with kindness.”

The planned tour was set to include arena shows in Birmingham, Sheffield, Dublin, London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Styles’ last UK date took place almost exactly one year ago, on December 19, 2019. Held at the Electric Ballroom in London, the intimate performance included a guest appearance from Stormzy as well as a cover of ‘Wonderful Christmastime’ by Paul McCartney.

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, he received three nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album (Fine Line), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Watermelon Sugar”) and Best Music Video (“Adore You”).

The musician is currently focusing on his acting career. He will become the leading actor in the upcoming psychological thriller film “Don’t Worry Darling”, directed by Olivia Wilde.

Meshuggah Announce 2021 UK and European Tour

3rd February 2021 | Category: Concerts

Meshuggah have announced a European and UK tour for winter 2021. In addition to this, they’ve also added a one-off London show the following summer. The one-off London show is at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on June 3, 2022.

The Swedish five-piece will start off their European run of dates in Vienna, Austria next November.

In December, the band will be going to the UK to perform in Bristol (December 5), Glasgow (December 6), Manchester (December 8) and Nottingham (December 9).

They are currently working on their ninth studio album, which release will probably coincide with the tour launch.

Drummer Tomas Haake confirmed that the band has spent much of the downtime during the COVID-19 pandemic creating material for a new album.

“Since March, we all kind of separated, and Jens [Kidman, vocals] took all his stuff and started working from home. And me and Dick [Lövgren, bass], the bass player, we usually work a lot together, but he also worked separately since then. But at this point, we’re back together, and we’re trying to hammer it out.”

According to Haake, working remotely hasn’t posed any huge any problems for him and his bandmates so far.

As for the musical direction of the new MESHUGGAH material, Tomas said:

“Of course, we have a certain framework that we still wanna sound like MESHUGGAH, we wanna have that signature sound, we want people to be able to — even if they haven’t heard the song [before] — in the best-case scenario, it’s, like, ‘Oh, that’s gotta be MESHUGGAH,’ even if it’s a brand new thing. So hopefully that’s something we’re aiming at. But with that said, as far as the music goes, we try to [do] kind of the opposite of what AC/DC has been doing for 40 years. So we’re not trying to write the same album over and over. And whether we succeed with that or not, that’s more up to our fans and other people, but that’s definitely the aim. We try our best to kind of find new grips within the framework of what we’re supposed to be, I guess. ‘Cause we don’t wanna really step out of that either. We’re not looking to be another band all of a sudden or something that we haven’t been or that is not true to kind of what we’re doing.”

Meshuggah’s latest album “The Violent Sleep Of Reason” came out in 2016 and resulted in a “Best Metal Performance” Grammy nomination for the song “Clockworks”.

The 1975 Cancel All 2021 Tour Dates

29th January 2021 | Category: Concerts

The 1975 have announced they had called off all of their 2021 tour dates due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The band was due to play a number of dates in Europe, including an open-air show in London’s Finsbury Park, as well as San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. But, according to them, the cancellation, which had been rescheduled from summer 2020, is the “best course of action” amid immense uncertainty surrounding the return of live music.

“These are incredibly difficult times for a lot of people, and until we can be sure that we will be able to play shows in a way that is safe for our fans and crew, we have decided the best course of action is to cancel our touring so that, where possible, everyone can get their tickets refunded sooner rather than later,” the official statement said.

The 1975’s European tour was due to start in February and was due to reach London in July. The band had then planned to perform in the US.

They are not the only band to scrap their touring plans, with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds canceling their 2021 concerts shortly before Christmas and many others before them. Others have moved gigs back to the end of the year, hoping the virus will be under control by then. The situation illustrates the difficulties facing the live music industry, which has been decimated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, this update was followed with a piece of good news for fans, as the band confirmed that they are already at work on the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Notes On A Conditional Form‘.

“We’re currently making a new album and look forward to seeing you all at a show as soon as it is safe to do so,” the band wrote.

Frontman Matty Healy added: “I already love the new album we are making and I hope you will too. That won’t be out for ages. Other stuff will be tho”

He has also told fans he had been collaborating with label mate beabadoobee and pop iconoclast Charli XCX.

Sepultura Announces Fall 2021 European Tour With Sacred Reich And Crowbar

16th January 2021 | Category: Concerts

Brazilian/American heavy metal band Sepultura will embark on a European tour in late 2021. Support on the trek will come from Sacred Reich and Crowbar.

Sepultura’s frontman Derrick Green commented:

“It’s been a challenging year for all of us around the world, and we are extremely excited to get back on the road again. We look forward to rocking out with you all again very soon!”

The lead guitarist Andreas Kisser added: “We cannot wait to return to the stage to jam our new album, ‘Quadra’, and some old tunes of our career. Europe is the territory I enjoy the most to play, and we all miss you so much. See you all soon SepulNation, keep safe and well!”

Sacred Reichs’s Phil Rind states: “We are very excited to confirm these dates with our friends SEPULTURA and CROWBAR. Don’t miss this tour. It’s going to be a blast! We can’t wait to see you.”

The bands will be playing in Germany, Poland, Austria, Spain, France, Ireland, and many more countries.

Before they head to Europe, the same lineup will be touring the United States. This tour had been rescheduled to a year from March and April 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation.

Sepultura was formed in Belo Horizonte by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, who are no longer with the band. The band now comprises Kisser, Green, bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., and drummer Eloy Casagrande.

Sepultura’s latest LP, “Quadra”, was released in February via Nuclear Blast Records. “Quadra” is the follow-up to “Machine Messiah”, which was Sepultura’s fourteenth studio album and the eighth since Green joined the ranks. In 2021, Sepultura will release a quarantine collaboration album, titled “SepulQuarta”, which will include contributions by members of Megadeth, Testament, Anthrax, System of a Down, Trivium, and Sacred Reich.
