You Me At Six Alter Their 2021 UK Tour Dates

25th September 2020 | Category: Concerts

You Me At Six have had a couple of announcements recently. They’ve released a new single, and also announced a new album, along with 2021 UK headline tour!

The band will embark on six-date UK tour throughout May 2021 in support of their upcoming album.

However, one of the dates had to be changed.

Due to a “logistical changes” they replaced their Birmingham show with one in Cardiff.

The tweet also said:

“We’re replacing our previously announced Birmingham show with a show in Cardiff. So good news for our fans in Wales!

Sorry about the confusion but please bare with us Birmingham fans as we will be bringing some good news to you soon enough.”

So, besides Cardiff, the tour includes shows in Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and London.

On September 21, You Me At Six dropped a new single “Beautiful Way”.

The pop-rockers’ seventh studio album, SUCKAPUNCH, is due for release on January 15, 2021 via Underdog Records/AWAL.

Next up from the band was the announcement that their seventh album ‘Suckapunch’ will be released January 15th, 2021. The track listing includes previous singles “MAKEMEFEELALIVE” and “What’s It Like”.

“We have been in the pursuit of happiness for quite some time, both collectively and individually, only to discover that happiness is more than just a state of mind,” explained frontman Josh Franceschi.

“We had to face our pain head on and carve it into something positive. Our seventh studio album is the result of us finding peace and acceptance of what’s been and gone.”

Little Mix Announce 2021 Tour

24th September 2020 | Category: Concerts

Little Mix have announced that they will be going on an extensive UK tour in April and May next year.

“WE’RE GOING ON TOUR,” the group tweeted. “Get early access to tickets by pre-ordering the Confetti album from our store NOW! We’ve really missed performing for you and we can’t wait to get back on the road! Tickets go on general sale next Friday 9am.”

The Confetti tour comes after the announcement of an upcoming album of the same name. The album is due to be released on 6th November.

In August, the group weren’t so sure that a 2021 tour would be able to go ahead.

“We hope to be able to tour next year,” Jesy Nelson told Metro, “[but] obviously nothing is for sure because of COVID. I think we have to wait and see what happens really — I think everyone is a bit unsure at the moment.”

More recently, while appearing on The One Show, the girls revealed that they are indeed heading back on tour in Spring 2021.

On the Instagram they also wrote:

“The thought of getting back on stage and seeing your faces means the world to us, we cannot wait!”

Confetti will be the sixth studio album from the band and the track list will include singles ‘Break Up Song’ and ‘Holiday’, both of which were released earlier this year.

Later this month, the band will also be a part of a BBC talent show, Little Mix: The Search, in which the popstars search for the next big group.

The show debuts on Saturday 26th September on BBC One and the winners will get the chance to support Little Mix on their upcoming Confetti tour.

Little Mix has also partnered with Black Minds Matter UK and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, with £1 of every ticket sold being split between the two charities.

The tickets should be available here.

Staind and Godsmack Singers To Go on Joint Drive-In Tour

19th September 2020 | Category: Concerts

Aaron Lewis of Staind and Sully Erna of Godsmack have announced joint American Drive-In Tour. The two frontmen will perform their hits together, side-by-side, during an intimate and unplugged evening.

The live shows will kick off on October 1st at Starlite Drive-In in Wichita, Kansas, followed by stops in Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois and more. The tour is scheduled to conclude on November 1st with a performance at Del Mar Fairgrounds in Southern California.

“Sully and I have been friends for 25 years. We’ve been talking about doing something for the last 10 years,” said Lewis in a release. “The time has finally come. I couldn’t be more excited to be bringing this to you in such strange times.”

“Me and Aaron Lewis? Onstage together…acoustic? Do I need to say more?” said Erna in a release. “Just don’t miss it! It may never happen again.”

Tour producers Danny Wimmer Presents have worked closely with both artists and all venues to create a live concert environment that will bring rock fans back together in unique setups that promote social distancing for a safe experience. The nationwide trek will follow current local health guidelines for fans’ safety and enjoyment. Some shows will be drive-in events with patrons in or adjacent to their cars, and other shows will feature viewing from socially distanced fan “pods” or tables designed for up to four people.

“We’re eager to get back to what we love, and we’re determined to keep the music alive and keep the rock community strong during these times,” said DWP resident Joe Litvag in a release. “Aaron and Sully on stage together like this is something that none of us have seen before but have always hoped would happen one day. We’re thrilled to be a part of it.”

Céline Dion Reschedules ‘Courage’ World Tour Dates to 2021

17th September 2020 | Category: Concerts

Celine Dion has confirmed that the remaining 16 North American dates of her Courage World Tour have been rescheduled.

The singer kicked off her latest tour back in September and ended up postponing 30 remaining shows in North America and Europe that were due to launch in mid-March after the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the concert industry.

The previously announced European tour dates will begin next March and run through July.

“I know how difficult this year has been for so many of us, and we are all looking forward to better days ahead,” the Canadian singer wrote in a statement. “I want to thank you for being so patient over the past few months while the team has been working on rescheduling our North American dates. Finally, we have some news, and I can’t wait to sing and dance with all of you again!”

The Courage World Tour is Dion’s first in over a decade. Last summer, she wrapped up her second Las Vegas residency Celine, which began running in 2011 following her Taking Chances World Tour. Courage was a major milestone for Dion, becoming her first album to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 in 17 years.

Dion released her 12th English-language studio album of the same name back in November.

It is her first English album in six years after Loved Me Back to Life (2013).

The singer worked on Courage with various writers and producers, including Sia, David Guetta, Greg Kurstin, Sam Smith, StarGate, Jimmy Napes, Lauv, LP, Jörgen Elofsson, Stephan Moccio, Eg White, Liz Rodrigues of The New Royales, and many more.

Tickets for all the shows can be found here.

The Avalanches Speak About the New Album

10th September 2020 | Category: Concerts

Having released a handful of singles so far this year, The Avalanches have also announced a new album, titled We Will Always Love You.

This is also the title of their single from February that featured Blood Orange.

The group shared a few details about the album on their official Instagram. However, the release date and other details are still to be announced.

They posted about the album art which was designed by Jonathan Zawada along with the caption explaining the concept.

The sleeve features Ann Druyan (Creative Director of the Voyager Golden Record Project), “who’s cosmic love story inspired this music.”

“In keeping with the album’s theme of everlasting love as an undying vibration, Ann’s image was run through a spectrograph, turned into sound, and back again,” The Avalanches wrote. “The image remains hidden, deep within in the grooves of the music, for you to discover if you wish.”

The Avalanches call the record “an exploration of the vibrational relationship between light, sound and spirit.” It will be available for pre-order next week, with more details to follow soon.

The Avalanches singles from this year have featured some notable collaborators. “Wherever You Go” featured Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry, Clypso, and The Clash’s Mick Jones, and “Running Red Lights” featured Rivers Cuomo and Pink Siifu.

It’s been four years since The Avalanches released their second album, Wildflower, which took 16 years to follow up their 2000 debut.

The band’s co-founder Darren Seltmann had said the album was starting out as “ambient world music”, but it was still moving in different directions and would feature both samples and live music.

The current member Robbie Chater later revealed that Seltmann had left the group by 2006, “we stopped working together… I was always making stuff and getting on with it, and the new record wasn’t materialising quickly. He had a kid, a family, and I guess he realised before I did that it was going to take a long time.”
