K-pop superstar group Bangtan Boys (BTS) have announced they will be embarking on a world tour in spring this year. The tour will be in support of their next album Map of the Soul: 7.

It will include a total of 37 shows in 17 cities around the world. After the North American run, BTS will head to Europe and Japan for additional performances.

Their previous 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear reached a No.1 on the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package. Last year the seven-member band became the only group in 50 years, after The Beatles and The Monkees, to have three number-one albums on the Billboard 200 chart in less than 12 months.

Earlier this month the band returned after a short break in 2019 with the release of “Black Swan,” a track that will be featured on the upcoming album. More recently, they ventured into the art world, launching a global public art project called “Connect, BTS.” The project reflects the band’s philosophy which is along the lines of connecting through art, music and people and changing the world for the better.

The tickets for the upcoming BTS shows in the US will go on sale on February 7th, while ticket details for some of the other shows, including the two in London, are yet to be announced.

Pearl Jam Announce New Album and Tour

16th January 2020 | Category: Concerts

American rockers Pearl Jam have announced that they will be hitting the road soon and releasing a highly-anticipated album.

Their North American tour will start off in Toronto in March this year. The Canadian run consists of 4 dates and besides the country’s capital, it will also include cities such as Ottawa, Quebec City and Hamilton. As for the American leg of the tour, there will be stops in Baltimore, New York, Nashville, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and Oakland.

Pearl Jam has been sporadically touring across South America, Europe and North America and this marks their first tour since 2018. The band also confirmed that they would be touring Europe in the summer of 2020.

Pearl Jam formed in 1990, and since then the band has sold over 85 million records worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Their next album Gigaton will be released on March 27th, 2020 via Republic Records and their own Monkeywrench label. This will be their 11th album and it follows up 2013’s Lightning Bolt which reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and won Best Recording Package at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

“Making this record was a long journey. It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times,” said lead guitarist Mike McCready.

The first single, “Dance of the Clairvoyants,” will be released in the coming weeks, a statement on the band’s website said.
