Snoop Dogg Adds More Dates to His ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ Tour

23rd October 2019 | Category: Concerts

Rap legend Snoop Dogg has announced new U.S. and European stops as part of his I Wanna Thank Me Tour.

The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper is celebrating nearly three decades in the music industry since being discovered by Dr. Dre in 1992. Since then he’s released 21 songs that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and landed three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

Last year the rapper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in his acceptance speech, he thanked himself for his success.

First mentioning “I Wanna Thank Me” in this ceremony, the phrase stuck when he named his newest album like that. The newly released 17th album and documentary of the same name honours his career spanning over 25 years.

The upcoming tour in support of this will feature a long list of his longtime collaborators. This includes hip hop friends that have collaborated with him throughout the years such as Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Obie Trice and D12. The multi-million streamed Irish rap duo Versatile will be playing the opening sets.

The West Coast rap icon which recently celebrated his 48th birthday is rumoured to appear in the newest season of Peaky Blinders. After he recently covered Nick Cave’s ‘Red Right Hand’ which is a long-running theme tune of the cult drama, Steven Knight, mentioned him as one of the many celebrities interested in a cameo which they will consider further.

Snoop Dogg’s I Wanna Thank Me tour kicks off on Dec. 2 with a previously announced sold-out show at the Fillmore in San Francisco. New dates starting from January 17 concert include shows in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky and Mississippi.

After that, he will head to Europe to perform at Arena Dublin on April 9 before heading to the U.K. for five more shows.

Diana Ross to Perform at Glastonbury 2020

16th October 2019 | Category: Concerts

Legendary American singer and actress Diana Ross has just become the first artist to be confirmed for the biggest UK Festival – Glastonbury.

She will be headlining the aptly-named “legends slot,” on the Sunday night of 2020 Glastonbury Festival. Miss Ross revealed on her social media that she is excited to be performing at this long-running festival. The 75-year-old singer said in her tweet:

“This is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I’m coming to Glastonbury, with love.”

Glastonbury’s co-organizer Emily Eavis then went on to confirm the big news by tweeting: “I am delighted to say that one of the all-time greats, the wonderful Diana Ross, is coming to Glastonbury to play the Sunday legend slot on the Pyramid next year.”

The upcoming Glastonbury concert marks the first time the Motown star will perform a show in the UK since 2008.

Other big names that graced the Legend’s slot stage at Michael Eavis’ Worthy Farm were Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and most recently Kylie Minogue, whose performance became the most-watched Glastonbury moment of all time.

Next year will be the festival’s 50th anniversary, and according to a notice posted to the event’s website the tickets sold out in just 34 minutes. However, fans will have two more chances to buy them, in an ongoing ballot.

Other headliners have not been announced yet, but according to some rumours, Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac and Sir Paul McCartney might be part of the Glastonbury’s lineup.

Ross needs no introduction, though her half-century of hits might be unfamiliar with the typical Glastonbury crowd.

Over her impressive career, Ross sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and enjoyed 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits. She was inducted into the Rock Hall in 1988, as part of The Supremes. She is a 12-time Grammy nominee, and the recipient of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.

The Eagles to Perform Entire “Hotel California” Album on Upcoming US Tour

11th October 2019 | Category: Concerts

Rock legends The Eagles will start off their 2020 North American tour consisting of 6 cities next year in February.

The classic rock band announced they will play their iconic album it its entirety, with an additional set of the band’s greatest hits.

Released in 1976, Hotel California has become the Eagles’ third best-selling album of all time in the United States. The LP’s title track earned them a Grammy in 1977 for Record of the Year.

Now, American fans will have the opportunity to hear number one hits from this album live. This includes “Hotel California” and “New Kid in Town” as well as “Life in the Fast Lane,” and many more.

The group’s current lineup, which includes Eagles co-founder Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit and Glenn Frey’s son Deacon, came together in 2017, one year after Glenn Frey’s death.

Earlier this year they visited Europe and Oceania and performed 3 sold-out shows in Las Vegas.

The Vegas shows featured 77 musicians, including a 46-piece orchestra and 22-member choir. This was the first time in this band’s history that they played the full Hotel California album in a oncert.

Billboard magazine praised the first gig:

“With no exception, the songs have aged well, but how could they fail with the Eagles’ five-part harmony and five guitar-approach…”

“(Henley’s) voice sounded as strong and pliant as it ever has, easily hitting the highest of notes, while retaining his trademark huskiness.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will travel to Atlanta, New York, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, and lastly, Los Angeles.

The tickets for the 12 concerts will go on sale on Oct.18 and you will be able to get them by clicking on this link.

Kiss Ready to Rock and Roll All Nite with Great White Sharks

8th October 2019 | Category: Concerts

Well, they are not exactly doing it all night, more like four songs or more, but we are sure the sharks will love all of them.

During an impressive career spanning nearly 50 years, the legendary glam rock band Kiss have performed at almost every place on Earth, and now they are taking it to a next level – playing under the sea.

However, they won’t be going under water themselves, but a few die-hard fans will. These 8 lucky fans will be lowered down beneath the water in a glass container from one boat, while the band will stay above, on the other one. So they will be getting two amazing experiences at the same time, listening to their favorite band playing live and also seeing great white sharks up close.

When Kiss begins playing, the sound will be transmitted through underwater speakers all the way down to submerged fans and sharks who decide to show up for the concert, too.

This once-in-a-lifetime event will take place on November 18, 2019, in the Indian Ocean off Port Lincoln, South Australia, and in one of the biggest feeding grounds for great whites. Proceeds will go to World Animal Protection.

Singer and guitarist Paul Stanley told The Associated Press: “I was a little taken aback by it, but they explained that sharks are attracted to low frequencies and so they’re attracted to rock ‘n’ roll,”
“Since we’re going to be in Australia, it gives a whole new meaning to doing a concert down under.”

“I’m not sure how much of us the sharks can take,” Stanley said. “I’m hoping they know ‘Rock And Roll All Nite.’”

Kiss will be performing throughout Australia in November and you can get your tickets to any of their concerts ‘Down Under’ right on this link.

Currently, Malone holds the top spot on Billboard Top 200 album chart. He is on tour promoting his latest “Hollywood Bleeding” album which came out earlier this year. It features collaborations with many popular artists such as Young Thug, SZA, Halsey, Travis Scott and Ozzy Osbourne.
