Lady Gaga Kicks Off Las Vegas Residency

8th January 2019 | Category: Concerts

Lady Gaga has kicked off her Las Vegas residency on 28 December at Park Theater. She announced the 27-show run for 2019 and tickets for all dates can be found here.

Gaga’s residency will feature two shows called Lady Gaga Enigma and Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano. The Enigma show will focus on her upbeat pop hits while Jazz & Piano will show will feature a bare-bones version of her original songs and covers. Knowing Gaga, we expect nothing less than a spectacle.

“We’re creating a show unlike anything I’ve done before,” Gaga said in the statement. “It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love and music.”

Gaga has been on a roller coaster of her massive success for eight years, touring the world’s largest stadiums and arenas. She has to scale down to a much intimate space of 5,200 seats and adjust her performance to the newly-rebranded Park MGM hotel, the hottest new spot in Sin City.

Residencies are now the hottest new thing for an entertainer to do and date back to the likes of Elvis Presley, Liberace and Frank Sinatra. Celine Dion, Elton John and Cher brought it back to life in the past decade and more and more performers join the club in recent years including Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Blink 182. Bruno Mars’ residency was a game changer in Las Vegas. He changed the way how hotels are being designed and constructed.

“A couple of artists got in there quickly and proved it was a great place to see a show. Bruno Mars is the best example,” Kurt Melien, Live Nation Las Vegas president said. “He was in there right away, and people were like, ‘This is incredible,’ and the domino started to fall from there.”

“We certainly had that in mind when we built Park Theater,” says George Kliavkoff, MGM’s president of sports and entertainment of the venue that’s part of a $550 million rebranding and refurbishment of Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, which officially debuted as Park MGM in May.

Six-time Grammy Award winner, Golden Globe Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee has always dreamt of becoming a “Las Vegas girl” and her dreams are coming true this year. Visit our page now and buy your tickets on time. Enjoy Enigma show, an odyssey of her pop hits or Jazz & Piano, stripped-down versions from the Great American Songbook.

Coachella Announces 2019 Lineup

4th January 2019 | Category: Concerts

The biggest music festival in the world returns this April and the lineup was announced few days ago and we can freely say you won’t be disappointed. Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala will headline the festival with a lot more names following.

Hurry up and purchase your tickets before they sell out.

The lineup is organized almost singlehandedly by Goldenvoice chief and Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett. Although the most of the tickets sell long before the lineup is announced, he knows that he needs few huge names to meet the standards of the previous years’ successes.

He knows the lineup has to be forward-looking but also reflect popularity. But the most important thing to keep in mind while choosing artists for the festival is that they need to satisfy the tastes of an unusually large age group both rock veterans who have been attending since the first Coachella in 1999 when it was a one-day event with headlining sets from Beck, Underworld, the Chemical Brothers and Spiritualized and the millennials and Generation-Z, who were raised on hip-hop and largely associate rock music with their parents.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be headlined by Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande in 2019. Artists like Khalid, Zedd, Kid Cudi, Janelle Monae, Aphex Twin, Solange, Dillon, Blood Orange and the 1975 will be joining them at the music festival which is held over two weekends in April. Kanye West was in negotiations for the festival but couldn’t agree on how to stage his show. He wanted the producers to change the size and shape of the stage for his planned performance but they refused.

Some of the biggest names headlined the festival in recent years including Guns ‘N’ Roses, Lady Gaga and Bjork who headlined the festival twice. This year, Ariana Grande will headline and make history in two ways. She is not only the fourth ever female headliner at the festival but being only 25, she is the youngest ever headliner in the festival’s history.

Beyonce set high standards last year and a lot of performers now feel pressure to live up to the hype. Her performance was magnificent and they Jay Z joined her on stage as well as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Reportedly, quarter of a million people visited Coachella last year so we can’t wait the festival season to be opened in spring. Coachella takes place from 12 to 14 April and from 19 to 21 April in Indio, California so hurry up and buy your tickets on time.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce First Dates for 2019

27th December 2018 | Category: Concerts

The Los Angeles Rockers have announced their first tour dates of 2019. They will launch their tour first in Australia and New Zealand in February and then head to Europe and North America.

Visit Our page here and check all the cities and dates.

The first run of the tour will include none shows, kicking off on 17 February in Hobart, Australia and will wrap up in Auckland, New Zealand.

The band has been pretty quiet in 2018 and their2019 shows are highly-anticipated. They held a surprise performance at a California school for Halloween and have laid low since then. They are currently working on their new album, the follow up of their 2016’s The Getaway. Flea even shared with his followers how beat up his fingers were after the first day at the studio.

He wrote on Instagram, “Rockin into some hard double stop shit with the boyz today. Boom bap baaaam. Yeah. Breathing good air and lettin rhythms fly into the California sky. Tearing those fingers up. Flocks of birds flyin’ by and all the vibrations getting in their feathers fly high high.”

The album is expected to be out in 2019 and it will be their quickest album turnaround since the fans had to wait four years for 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, and five years for both 2011’s I’m With You and 2016’s The Getaway. In addition to his musical work, Fleas has announced the release of his memoir Acid For the Children for 2019.

This American band was formed in 1983 and their lineup has changed a lot in the past years. Frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea are the only original members. Their musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, it also includes elements of punk rock and psychedelic rock. Red Hot Chili Peppers sold more than 80 records all over the world and is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time.

The band was also inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. They are also winners of six Grammy Awards and hold the record for most number-one singles and most top-ten songs on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

Watch Jake Gyllenhaal in Sea Wall/A Life

24th December 2018 | Category: Theater

We really have something special to look for in the New Year since Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal will perform in New York premiere Sea Wall/A Life.

The show will have a performance from 26 January until 24 March in the Public’s downtown space on Lafayette Street in New York City. Don’t miss the chance to watch this A-list actor perform on stage and buy your tickets now.

Tony nominee Tom Sturridge will join Jake Gyllenhaal in this play written by Tony and Olivier winner Simon Stephens and Broadway alum Nick Payne and directed by Carrie Cracknell. This play is basically a pair of two monologues, first performed by Sturridge, about love and the human need to know the unknowable. The second will be performed by Gyllenhaal and is about how we say goodbye to those we love the most.

These one-person plays offer their audience intimacy and urgency of an encounter with someone who needs to get something important off their chest. Sturridge has previously collaborated with Stephens on Heisenberg and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time but hasn’t performed on Broadway since his 2017’s 1984. Gyllenhaal also made a short break from performing after his 2017’s Sunday in the Park with George. This is Gyllenhaal’s third collaboration with Payne since they worked on Constellations and If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet.

In A Life, Gyllenhaal plays a man struggling to reconcile his emotions surrounding the death of his father and the birth of his daughter. The piece started as a monologue that Payne performed at London’s Donmar Warehouse in 2013, in the aftermath of his own father’s death. Gyllenhaal spent the next four years begging the playwright to let him perform it. By the time he decided to let him, Payne had become a father, and two worked together with Cracknell to bring A Life into its current form. Gyllenhaal was eager to perform something so personal and vulnerable.

“The nature of being alone onstage, as much as it might delight the 30 per cent narcissist that I am, terrifies the other percentage,” he says. “At its best, it’s not a performance. There are no masks, no protection.”

Gyllenhaal is most famous for his roles in blockbuster movies like Prisoners, Southpaw (see trailer above), Nightcrawler and Prince of Persia. We simply can’t wait to get to the theatre and immerse ourselves in a different type of performance.

Travis Scott to Perform at Super Bowl and Kick Second Leg in 2019

21st December 2018 | Category: Concerts

Hip-hop and rap psychedelic star Travis Scott has announced he will continue his Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour in 2019 with the second North American leg.

Visit our page and buy your tickets in time because Travis promises best show of the year with a spectacle on stage.

This was a huge year for Scott, both personally and professionally. He has had a baby Stormy with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner and has released his third album Astroworld. The album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and earned him a Grammy nomination for the best rap album. His lead single featuring Drake “Sicko Mode”, that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, is also nominated for the best rap performance.

The tour kicks off on 25 January and runs through to 24 March, hitting a number of American cities and three Canadian ones, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The second leg will make up for the tree cancelled shows from the first leg in Hartford, Milwaukee and Tampa with more tickets in sale now. This run will consist of 28 shows presented by Apple Music.

Tickets can be found here.

After weeks of speculation who will join Maroon 5 at the marquee event for the NFL, Scott confirmed his participation. He will perform at Super Bowl LIII on 3 February 2019 in Atlanta, joining Adam Levine’s band who is headlining the show.

This year’s Super Bowl halftime performance was surrounded by a lot of controversy. Players were kneeling during the National Anthem, Colin Kaepernick tried to return to the league and the league is still trying to diminish the impact Beyonce caused with her 2016 anti-police performance of “Formation”.

NFL doesn’t pay artists to perform at half-time and even discussed to charge them because of its huge audience and many turned down the gig including Adele, Rihanna and Jay-Z. The Sicko Mode rapper seems to have no problem with this and will make an appearance at the Mercedes-Bens Stadium. There are rumours that Cardi B will make and appearance for Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” performance.
