Ed Sheeran North American Tour Approaches $300M Mark

1st October 2018 | Category: Concerts

Ed Sheeran is currently hitting the U.S stadiums as a part of his Divide Tour and we can freely say he is killing it.

According to Hot Tours recap, he is approaching the $300 million mark pretty fast and furious. If you still hadn’t had the chance to enjoy his compelling music, you can purchase tickets for the upcoming dates right here.

Sheeran has grossed $290.1 million and sold 3.3 million tickets across 149 dates and the tour is not over yet. There are still 39 dates remaining until his world tour Divide ends so we’ll have to wait and see what the final number will be.

According to the Hot Tours recap announced on 29 September, he took a leap forward comparing to the shows held last year on the same venues. Recently, he held a two-night show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New York. Two shows held on 21 and 2 September sold 107,550 tickets and generated $11.2 million. This is tree time the gross from the three-night gross at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center held last year between 29 September and 1 October. Last year, he performed in front of 41,006 fans and grossed $3.7 million. And that’s not all.

Similarly, Sheeran grossed $2.6 million from selling 30,516 tickets across two shows at Air Canada Centre in Toronto in July 2017 while this August, he sold out 98,462 tickets and grossed $8.5 million from two nights at Rogers Centre. The trajectory in other markets continued in September as well. Two shows at Gillette Stadium quadrupled his intake to $9.8 million from 110,238 tickets sold compared to the last year’s $2.3 million and 25,590 tickets sold for Boston’s TD Garden.

The North American leg success follows his success at European and Australian stadiums. During his four shows at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium between 9 and 12 March 2018, he delivered his career-best gross, selling 156,622 tickets that earned $20.9 million.

Don’t waste any time and buy your tickets right now, just choose the city nearest to you from the remaining 39 dates. Kiss Announces Another Farewell Tour

27th September 2018 | Category: Concerts

In the series of recent farewell tours, another one was announced this week and this time by the legendary KISS.

After a 45-year-fruitful career, KISS is taking one final run in 2019. Details for the tour aren’t disclosed yet but the multi-year stint will give fans one last chance to witness the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ explosive shows. Dates for the tour will be announced in the upcoming weeks so start prepping right now. Until then, check out the current farewell tours by Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Simon and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Kiss confirmed their last tour during the last episode of America’s Got Talent when they performed “Detroit Rock City”. The End of the Road tour is expected in early 2019 and it’s going to be mind-blowing, breath-taking show that will be a celebration of KISS rather than any individual lineup or members.

“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years,” KISS said in a statement. “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in, unapologetic and unstoppable.”

KISS have already marketed a tour as their last in 2000 called the Farewell Tour, following their 1996 reunion with original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. It turned out to be only their last tour with the original foursome. The current lineup that is preparing for 2019 tour consists of Paul Stanley (guitar), Gene Simmons (bass), Tommy Thayer (guitar) and Eric Singer (drums). This line up has been intact since 2004. Members are in the process of planning the biggest tour they have ever done and they even filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to reserve the rights to the phrase “The End of the Road” with regard to “live performances by a musical band.”

R&B legend Anita Baker is also saying goodbye to her career as well as well-known 80’s synth-pop duo Soft Cell. KISS’ End of the Road Tour dates are yet to be announced and until then you can warm up by checking out some of Elton John’s legendary performances from his farewell tour.

Iggy Azalea has announced the North American tour with special guest star CupcakKe.

The Bad Girls Tour is kicking off this October in support of Azalea’s new EP Survive the Summer. Tickets for all shows can be here.

The 21-city tour kicks off on 27 October in Hollywood, Florida and stretches into December hitting cities like Atlanta, Boston, Nashville, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit and many others before it wraps up on 4 December in Houston, Texas.

Live Nation produced tour includes special guests Queen CupcakKe and Megan Three Stallion who will help Iggy to showcase female rap in all its beauty and power.  CupcakKe has dropped the singles “Black Jack” and “Hot Pockets” this summer following her hit “Quiz” and its Kill Bill inspired video.

This is her first North American headlining trek in four years and the announcement follows the August release of her latest album. Survive the Summer6-track album features the hit “Kream” fat. Tyga and Iggy Azalea just dropped a killer collaboration with Total Ape and Wiz Kalifa.

All these female rappers are worth seeing but as a collective, they are an absolute must-see this fall. Just find the city nearest to you and buy your tickets.

This Australian rapper and songwriter gained recognition back in 2014 when she topped Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums making Azalea the first non-American female rapper to reach the top on the chart. The same year she became the first artist after The Beatles to rank at numbers one and two on the Hot 100 simultaneously with singles “Fancy” and “Problem”.

Survive the Sumer is her second album announced back in 2016 but the release was pushed back due to personal life issues and later the change of the record label. Judging by the singles we heard, it was definitely worth the wait.
