Drake on Joint Tour with Migos

29th May 2018 | Category: Concerts

We have some pretty great news guys.

Not only did Drake announce his new album Scorpion to come out these days but he also announced a gigantic North American tour with fellow hip-hop titans Migos.

You can find your tickets here.

Aubrey and the Three Amigos tour will kick off on 26 July in Salt Lake City and span over 40 cities. The tour will include multiple nights in the 31-year-old rapper’s hometown of Toronto and then in Chicago, Miami and Houston. They will also play four nights in both New York City and Los Angeles before they wrap up in November in Migos’ hometown of Atlanta.

Drake, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are all going on tour together called Audrey and the Three Amigos that is clearly a reference to the Fania All-Stars musical group also used in their recent collaboration. Fania All-Stars was formed in 1968 as a showcase for the musicians on Fania Record, the leading salsa music record label at the time. Drake and Migos also famously combined on “Walk It Talk It” off Migos’ Culture II album.

Ahead of the long anticipated fifth studio album Scorpion, the famous rapper often called Drizzy has released the singles “God’s Plan” and “Nice For What”. “God’s Plan” debuted at Number 1 on the US Billboard’s Hot 100 and it was Drale’s second as a solo artist to reach number one. The video for “Nice For What” featured notable female celebrities Tracee Ellis Ross and Rashida Jones among others. The second single replaced “God’s Plan” on the top stop on the Billboard’s Hot 100 and made him the first artist ever to have a new number-one debut replace their former number-one debut.

Just a few days ago, Drake released new song “I’m Upset” that is also expected to feature on the Canadian’s upcoming album Scorpion. The single was released just a day after Pusha T released his surprise single “Infrared”. Drake was the intended target of Pusha T’s single produced by Kanye West since the rappers have had a fraught relationship for quite a while now. They are intentionally mocking Drake for using songwriter Quentin Miller and not writing his own lyrics while Drake calls out West directly for promoting Pusha T’s album Daytona.  We’ll leave the fighting to them an we’ll simply enjoy the new, awesome music. Tickets for all upcoming dates for the joint Migos and Drake tour can be found here.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

24th May 2018 | Category: Theater

We have great news for you if you are a fan of Harry Potter movies and books.

A stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Son, officially opened on Broadway this April at the Lyric Theatre so don’t waste any time, buy your tickets here, and check what happened to your favorite wizards.

A two-part stage play was written by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and J. K. Rowling and the previews began in 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London. On 22 April, it officially opened at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway with actors Anthony Boyle, Sam Clemmett, Noma Dumezweni, Poppi Miller and many others.

The Lyric Theatre is a great place for the huge debut of the play since it was recently renovated and its elaborate wing and nest interior has already taken over the Great White Way. Great place to catch up with middle aged Harry, Hermione and Ron as well as the second generation.

The story begins nineteen years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Harry Potter is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and a father of three school-age children.

His younger son, Albus Severus Potter is about to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and he must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. Named after Harry’s two dead Hogwarts heroes, Dumbledore and Snape, the boy buckles most under the shadow of his famous father to whom he cannot connect as a son. Harry is also living in his own shadow, taking orders from the adult Hermione in the Ministry.

The past refuses to stay where it belongs and father and son must unite in their fight. They learn the uncomfortable truth that darkness comes from the most unexpected places.

The play is amazing and definitely worth seeing according to critics. At the 2017 Laurence Olivier Awards, the London production received a record-breaking eleven nominations and an again record-breaking nine awards including, Best New Play, Best Actor, Best Actor in Supporting Role, Best Actress in Supporting Role and Best Director. Since the cast remained pretty much the same, we have high expectations from the Broadway production.

We are glad this show, full of magic, is finally hitting Broadway so don’t miss it and purchase your tickets here.

Kelly Clarkson Puts on a Show at Billboard Music Awards

21st May 2018 | Category: Concerts

Billboard Music Awards are just behind us and Kelly Clarkson really put on quite a show!

She hosted the NBC’s tree-hour-long event on Sunday, 20 May in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas and the show was grandiose. Kelly really knows how to spice things up, so don’t miss her upcoming shows and buy your tickets here.

Kelly Clarkson entertained the crowd and paid tribute to her favorite artists.

She performed a medley of some of the year’s top songs including Bruno Mars’ “Finesse”, Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes”, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”, Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE” and Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do”. Her performance included feathered showgirls, a tightrope walker, shirtless Thunder From Under hunks, a lot of dancers, backup singers and accessories and did not disappoint the tough crowd that sang along.

The American singer and songwriter, currently working as a coach in “The Voice”, was first-time host and nailed it. Kesha, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Christina Aquilera, Janet Jackson and many more hit the stage while Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar owned the show since they had 15 nominations each.

Clarkson last toured in 2015 and her Piece by Piece Tour was cut short before she visited the UK due to doctor’s ordering her on vocal rest. Her album Meaning of Life was out in November and she did a lot of promotion but the world tour hasn’t been announced officially yet but she is working on it, routing it.

“The Voice” is taking her a lot of time so hence the delay.

Her latest album became an instant hit and she hopes fans will know all the lyrics when the tour kicks off. We expect only greatness from Kelly taking in consideration 25 million albums and 45 million singles sold worldwide, three Grammies, three MTV Video Music Awards, Four American Music Awards and two Academy of Country Music Awards.

She also became the first artist in history to top Billboard’s pop, adult contemporary, adult pop, country and dance charts. Judging from all this, the sky is the limit for Kelly and we can’t wait for the world tour to be announced. For now, we’ll have to satisfy with a few summer performances. Don’t miss this amazing singer’s upcoming shows and the chance to enjoy her soprano.

Macy Gray Announces New Album and Tour

18th May 2018 | Category: Concerts

Great news for all Macy Gray fans and worshipers of her soulful voice!

She announced the release of her new album “Ruby” and upcoming tour dates. She is doing the short run in New York and D.C. in the spring but the plans for the fall are huge.

Visit our page and buy your tickets on time.

The continuation of the tour is planned for summer when Macy will kick off cities across the North America throughout August and September. Then she will head to Europe in October and November. Macy hopes the fans will enjoy her new album. She strongly believes that her music has a huge impact on people and that they feel better and see better and maybe understand their relationships better. In her opinion, artists have a huge responsibility because people look up to them and listen to what they have to say, they relate to you  so you have to be careful what you want to say, an influence you want to bring upon them. Your voice can change things massively and she hopes her new songs reach a lot of people and change their lives and make them happy.  Keeping that in mind, she is on fire, writing new music so we can really count on her to fulfill her promise. We can’t wait to hear the new stuff.

Gray’s two upcoming New York shows will be held in a brand new venue, Opry City Stage, so great crowd is expected. Macy will perform some of the new songs together with her old hits and put on a great show.

Tickets can be found here.

Her album “Ruby” will be ready for the release in the fall and her fans will enjoy her raspy, soulful tunes. This is her tenth album and features a few guest artists. It has all sorts of fusions sonically and a lot of live instruments with a lot of pop and R&B mix. It is grimy, gritty and dirty at the same time.

Macy record sales worldwide exceed 25 million in 2016 with her last album “Stripped”. It had a bit of Bob Marley and The Wailers feel to it since she revamped their “Redemption Song”.  Fans can’t wait to see what she brought in the mix this time.

Christina Aguilera is Back Big Style with Liberation

14th May 2018 | Category: Concerts

After taking a break from the spotlight for nearly a decade, Christina Aguilera is back big style.

After she announced her first album in six years to be out on 15 June, just a few days ago, she announced her 2018 Liberation tour to kick off in September. Tickets for general public are on sale.

The North American leg of the tour will kick off on 25 September in Hollywood, Florida at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This would be her first outing since 2008 and will include 22 cities with two dates at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, two dates at The Chicago Theatre and stops in Boston, Oakland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more before she wraps up in St. Petersburg, Florida on 13 November.

Last week, the 37-year-old singer, has released the first song from her new album “Accelerate”, co-produced by Kanye West and featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz. Her newly announced duet with Demi Lovato “Fall in Line” at the Billboard Music Awards on 20 May will also be on the setlist.

Although Christine has released two albums since 2006’s Back to Basics, Bionic in 2010 and Lotus in 2012, she did not tour in support of either of them. She announced the North American dates just one month shy of the 10-year anniversary of her final Back to Basics Tour stop on 24 October 2008.

So the fans expect great spectacle out of this tour and don’t miss the chance to purchase your tickets on time.

Aguilera explained her long pause from touring and staying in Voice judge chair, by saying she puts her kids first.

“Touring is so frightening to me, because I am a mom first. It’s part of why I stayed in the position I was.  It’s easy to get comfortable and cushy in the same place and not have to worry about uprooting your kids. I’ve been putting myself on the back burner… it needs to happen. I’m looking forward to getting back out and actually showing my kids what Mommy really does!”

The Grammy winner is back, stronger than ever with her eight studio album so prepare to enjoy her stunning soprano this fall. Often compared to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, Aguilera is one of the foremost practitioners of the overpowering vocal style known as melisma. She has been recognized as a pop icon and named “Pop Princess” in her early years. She won five Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy and a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
