One of the most awaited events of the year needs everyone to dust off their cowboy boots and hats and head down to the Thomas and Mack Center at the UNLV. Every year, world championship titles are given away in categories including bareback riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, roping and many others. The biggest title given away during the event is the most coveted “World All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy” awarded to the highest earning cowboy competing regularly in more than one event during the entire year.
They also have several other highlights during the long week they are in Las Vegas. To give the guests a break from all the heart-racing and adrenaline-charged events, there is the Miss Rodeo America Pageant where the rodeo queen will be crowned and become the face of the sport. The winner will be representing the whole association for the year and will be regularly required to wear a cowboy hat, her crown and a banner with her title on it. There will also be a cowboy gift show, Cowboy Christmas, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
