Green Day is an American rock band as most of you probably know, which was originally formed in 1988. The band boasts three core members: Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, lead vocals), Mike Dirnt (bass) and Tré Cool (drums).

Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. Their early record releases were promising and they proved to be more than that.

Their record release with their first major label became a breakout success in 1994 and ended up selling for them more than 10 million copies in the U.S. alone.

As a result, Green Day was widely credited, along with fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in and popularizing punk rock in the United States.

To date Greenday has sold more than sixty million records across the world, including more than 22 million in just the United States along, and have won three Grammy awards, including
Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, and Record of the Year for “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.”

Greenday, appearing now in their incredible Rock Opera is more than worth seeing. Get your tickets for Greenday now, while you still have the chance to get them.
