The Eagles – More Shows Added to Their Tour

The Eagles are adding to their Long Road Out of Eden shows, putting in extra shows and dates that include Tulsa Oklahoma, San Antonio and Dallas, as well as Houston Texas and St Louis Missouri.

That’s going to definitely increase your chances of getting tickets to see this fantastic blast from the past.

The Eagles music has scored big over the years, with four, count em, FOUR number one albums and at least that many hits in the singles category.

The end of the century saw them remain one of the biggest recording stars ever to come out of the United States, with one of their albums, Hotel California, rating among the top ten biggest selling albums ever.

Using some country-folk roots and a traditional rock style, the Eagles have helped to define what rock and roll is and what it became, and along the way, gleaned a wide audience for their music, who continued to purchase their records for many years after the Eagles had split and were not longer recording together.

That’s primarily whats responsible for their reunion and consequent new albums.

The Eagles had, what you might call humble beginnings but they didn’t last long.

Four men who were headquartered in LA came west to seek out some new fortunes. One of them, Randy Meisner, from Scottsbluff Nebraska, moved to LA to become part of a band that was called Soul Survivors. He was among the founding members of a band called Poco, and left it to join the Stone Canyon band, who played backup for Ricky Nelson.

Bernie Leadon got to L.A. in 1967 with a band called Hearts and Flowers Don Henley moved to L.A. in 1970 with Shiloh, which made a single album before breaking up.

Glenn Frey played as a backup musician for Bob Seger before moving to L.A. in 1968.

In 1971, Frey, Henley, Leadon, and Meisner adopted the name the Eagles, flew to England to release their first album, which became a top seller in under a year.

The rest, as they say is history.
